We are looking for a Financial Controller who thrives in a complex, fast-moving environment and enjoys connecting financial logic with business operations.
In this role, you will be working closely with site management, senior controllers and project partners across Europe.
You will manage your scope of responsibilities – from budgets and forecasts to the validation of investments and operational spend – ensuring decisions are financially sound, compliant, and data-driven.
YOUR CHALLENGES:
- Take ownership of budget and forecast for assigned cost centers and activities within R&D and site scope
- Act as finance business partner for local teams and R&D project leaders – ensure financial clarity, accuracy, and compliance
- Review and approve purchase orders (validation of the accounting treatment, budget fit, internal approvals, and compliance rules)
- Support investment cases and ROI calculations
- Participate in the preparation of presentations and discussions with business owners
- Coordinate closing, forecast, budget and mid-term planning activities within defined timelines
- Ensure correctness of financial data and consistency across systems (SAP, Google Sheets, internal tools)
- Collaborate with counterparts in Germany, Ireland, USA, China etc. on project-related finance topics
- Propose improvements in finance processes and digital tools (Google environment, automation, AI use cases)

- Degree in Economics, Finance, or Business
- 5+ years of experience in Controlling or Finance
- Strong analytical thinking and hands-on approach – you connect dots and take action, not just compare numbers
- Adaptability in a changing environment
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets user; SAP experience is an advantage
- Fluent English – daily communication with international colleagues
- Ability to work independently within structured deadlines
- Curiosity for new tools and smarter ways of working
