Job Description

Valeo is seeking an Ergonomics Intern to support the HSE Department at its Martos plant, a major site for Visibility Systems. The intern will promote prevention, assist with audits, conduct basic risk assessments, provide worker training, and participate in planning preventive activities. This role involves collaborating with senior technicians to detect and mitigate safety and ergonomic risks, managing training documentation, and contributing to QRQC processes. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Risk Prevention and strong English and Spanish language skills.
Must Have:
  • Promote prevention in the company
  • Assist with audits (Safety Golden Rules, OJT, Risk Hunting, Safety Talks)
  • Conduct risk assessments (except senior-level)
  • Propose measures for risk control and reduction
  • Help detect safety and ergonomic risks
  • Carry out basic worker training (DOJO, Safety First)
  • Manage training documentation for digital archiving
  • Participate in planning preventive activities
  • Direct actions in cases of emergency and first aid
  • Collaborate on risk assessment action management
  • Feed QRQC with safety and ergonomics actions
  • Cooperate with prevention services
  • Risk prevention's Master degree (Spanish public universities)
  • Good level of English (minimum B2-C1)
  • Good level of Spanish

Our Martos plant is one of the biggest sites within our Visibility Systems Business Group in charge of developing and manufacturing Lighting Products and Electronics, with around 2.600 employees. You will support the Department in the following tasks:

  • Promote prevention in the company. You will assist with audits such as "Safety Golden Rules," OJT (On-the-Job Training), Risk Hunting audits, Safety Talks, etc.
  • Conduct risk assessments (except those reserved for senior-level technicians) and propose measures for risk control and reduction. You will help detect safety and ergonomic risks, accompanied by a Senior Technician.
  • Carry out basic worker training. You can help us deliver DOJO and "Safety First" training, and manage the documentation of training for digital archiving.
  • Participate in the planning of preventive activities and direct actions to be taken in cases of emergency and first aid. Collaborate with our risk assessment colleague to manage actions to eliminate avoidable risks identified in the risk assessment conducted by the senior technician.
  • Feed the QRQC (Quick Response Quality Control) with safety and ergonomics actions for each section and present them to the respective section managers for planning their closure.
  • Cooperate with prevention services.
  • Any other function assigned as an assistant or administrative tasks specific to the Prevention Service.

To be able to be selected for this internship, you need to fulfill the next requirements:

  • Risk prevention's Master degree (Spanish public universities' graduates or students)
  • Good level of English (minimum of B2-C1) as well as Spanish.
  • Be result oriented, commitment to teamwork within an international environment.
  • Professionalism and transparency.
  • Geographical mobility.
