Job Description
You will serve as the HR Business Partner (HRBP) for the Kanda Factory, which employs around 100 people. (The workforce is expanding by several dozen employees at a time.)
HR & Labor Management Responsibilities
- Operate HR systems and policies at each factory
- Manage personnel transfers and placements, consolidate performance evaluations, create workforce plans, and manage personnel budgets and forecasts
- Understand and apply labor laws
- Handle employee communications related to contract or organizational changes
- Provide first-line response to employee issues
- Negotiate and consult with labor unions, propose initiatives, manage labor-management councils, and prepare minutes
- Labor management including work environment improvement (working hours, attendance), compliance, and employee consultations
- Support onboarding for new hires and internal transfers
- Manage contracts for contract employees
- Revise work regulations
- Recruitment activities (coordinate with overseas group HR for implementing initiatives)
- Plan and execute training programs by hierarchy and factory-level education
- Manage performance evaluations and performance management
- Support audits and operate self-assessment systems
- Organizational development and employee engagement
- HR operations
Appeal of This Position
- You will be the sole HR on-site, responsible for the overall HR function, and can engage in improving employee satisfaction by streamlining uncoordinated processes
- There is potential to advance to a Division-level HRD role in the future
Requirements
- HR Generalist (excluding Payroll)
- Examples1 : HR Generalist who has managed almost all HR functions alone in a company of 100-200 employees in Japan
- Examples2 : HR professional in SMEs or startups who has handled everything from recruitment, labor management, policy administration, to labor union matters
- English: Business level
- Japanese: Native level
Preferred
- HR experience in manufacturing or industrial sectors
- Ability to communicate smoothly with on-site production workers
- Experience working in foreign-affiliated companies or overseas
- Experience in labor union relations
Salary & Team Structure
- Salary: Up to ¥9.5 million
- ※Negotiable depending on skills and experience
- Team Structure: You will be the first HR member at the Kanda Factory
