The Accounting Manager will lead senior accountants in preparing financial analyses for balance sheet and P&L accounts, ensuring timely monthly closing, forecasting, and reporting. Responsibilities include reviewing fixed asset and prepaid activities, bank reconciliations, and contributing to process improvement initiatives. Collaboration with various departments (US Consolidations, UK Finance, etc.) and participation in audits are key. The ideal candidate possesses strong accounting principles knowledge, SOX compliance understanding, and excellent communication and analytical skills. Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment is essential.

The Challenge

We are looking for a forward-thinking, articulate, results oriented Accounting Manager who will be involved in the month end close process of our monthly and quarterly financials, while being provided the opportunity to learn the business from the ground up.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable with team collaboration, working within an agile and fast-paced environment, and providing polished and self-reviewed results. Excellent communication skills are vital, along with attention to detail, confidentiality, dedication, and a willingness to work hard and get the job done.

What You’ll Take On

  • Lead and oversee senior accountants’ preparation of assigned financial analyses for balance sheet and P&L accounts. Ensure that deadlines are met for the monthly closing, forecasting, and monthly reporting

  • Review month- and quarter- end fixed asset related activities such as additions, disposals, transfers, depreciation and reclasses, quarterly fixed assets rollforward, G/L to subledger reconciliations, and maintain fixed assets.

  • Review month- and quarter- end prepaid related activities such as monthly prepaid amortizations and reclasses, G/L account reconciliations, and maintain prepaid schedules.

  • Review monthly entries related to various bank reconciliations

  • Contribute to finance accounting streamline transformation (FAST) initiatives to improve current processes or technology enhancements while ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley

  • Collaborate with partners throughout the organization including but not limited to US Consolidations, UK Finance, Label Finance, FP&A, Treasury, Tax, and IT, etc.

  • Assist with financial audit and review including coordinate and meet quarterly and year end requests, review audit schedules, provide fluctuation analysis, and collaborate with both external and internal auditors.

  • Perform or review other reconciliations, adhoc analyses and special projects as required.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting and 8+ years of professional accounting experience working in high volume, fast paced environments.

  • Good understanding of fundamental accounting principles

  • General understanding of SOX compliance for a public company

  • Ability to work with tight deadlines and flexibility with the time zone differences, and work under pressure.

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with the business partners and to develop working relationships with management and staff in all departments.

  • Proactive and ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment utilizing organizational and team-oriented interpersonal skills to effectively prioritize multiple tasks and deal with multiple changing priorities.

  • Self-starter working under minimal direction and drive tasks or responsibility to completion and meet the deadline.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel functionalities and formula (e.g. pivot table, SUMIF/SUMIFS/VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP formulas, etc.)

Great to Have:

  • Knowledge of JD Edwards ERP, Hyperion Financial Management/Hyperion Planning systems, and BlackLine reconciliation tool a plus.
