Condé Nast is seeking an audio advertising expert to manage sales support across its podcast portfolio. This role focuses on the intersection of operations and sales, assisting with proposals, sales strategy, campaign optimizations, and overall sales enablement. The manager will provide best practices to various internal teams and maintain a strong understanding of the podcast industry to ensure competitiveness.
Must Have:
  • Assist sales on sales calls, proposal requests, and strategy sessions.
  • Partner with internal marketing teams to ensure material is up to date and enticing for potential advertisers.
  • Maintain strong understanding of the podcast industry to ensure competitiveness.
  • Lead internal training sessions on Condé podcast offerings and how to best sell.
  • Partner with Pricing & Yield and Ad Operations teams on podcast rate card and campaign optimizations.
  • Develop ongoing relationships with sales and advertisers to best answer proposal requests, optimize existing campaigns and ensure success.
  • Provide key business insights and visualizations.
  • BA/BS degree in Business, Sales, Communications, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 to 7 years experience in podcast advertising.
  • Proficiency in complexities of podcast advertising marketplace.
  • Comfortable working closely with sales on external pitches and sales calls.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, Megaphone.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Self-driven with ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision in a deadline-oriented environment.

An audio advertising expert is sought to help manage sales support management across our portfolio of podcasts.

The Manager, Audio Monetization is responsible for managing the intersection between operations and sales. This experienced podcast expert will be focused on Condé Nast's portfolio of podcasts, assisting sales on proposals, sales strategy, campaign optimizations, and overall sales enablement. They will be experts in podcast media, providing best practices to partner teams in Sales, Media Strategy, Marketing, Ad Operations, and Pricing & Yield.

Individuals in this role should be proactive, thinking around corners, and excited to collaborate to drive results for the company. Qualified candidates should expect to be a healthy balance of internal cheerleader and insight-wielding truth-teller.

Responsibilities will include the following:

  • Assisting sales on sales calls, proposal requests and strategy sessions
  • Partner with internal marketing teams to ensure material is up to date and enticing for potential advertisers
  • Maintain strong understanding of the podcast industry to ensure Condé is remaining competitive in market
  • Available to lead internal training sessions to ensure deep understanding of Condé podcast offerings and how to best sell
  • Will be product matter expert partnering with Pricing & Yield and Ad Operations teams to weigh in on podcast rate card and campaign optimizations
  • Develop ongoing relationships with sales and advertisers to best answer proposal request, optimize existing campaigns and ensure success
  • Provide key business insights, and visualizations when applicable

Desired skills and qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in Business, Sales, Communications, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 to 7 years experience in podcast advertising
  • Proficiency in complexities of podcast advertising marketplace
  • Comfortable working closely with sales on external pitches and sales calls
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, Megaphone
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to translate quantitative details into clear, succinct summaries and recommendations for peers, sales, and executive audiences
  • Self-driven with ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision in a deadline-oriented environment

The expected base salary range for this position is from $74,000-$115,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to relevant skills, training, experience, and education.

In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates may also be eligible to receive discretionary bonus compensation.
