The Manager, Catalogue Marketing & Synch is responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives to revitalize and monetize the recorded music catalogue (42 months or older songs) across Sony Music international artists from owned labels such as Columbia, RCA, Epic, Arista, Legacy, Masterworks, and other regional Sony-owned labels.
In parallel, the role manages inbound synch licensing requests, which are often catalogue songs, ensuring timely and accurate processing while coordinating with rights holders and internal stakeholders.
This cross-functional position requires creativity, commercial acumen, an analytical mindset, and a solid understanding of rights and licensing.

Technical Skills:
• Digital Platform Fluency: Familiar with DSP ecosystems, editorial environments, and how catalogue content is surfaced and promoted across platforms like Melon, Genie Music, Spotify, YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.
• Data-Informed Marketing: Comfortable interpreting data like streaming trend and audience to uncover momentum, inform campaign decisions, and identify catalogue tracks with growth opportunities.
• Campaign Execution: Experience in planning and executing data-driven marketing campaigns across DSPs and social platforms, with a focus on stream growth and other measurable impact like chart performance.
• Music Rights Literacy: Understanding of master and publishing rights, usage types (e.g. synch, promotional, commercial), and rights clearance workflows. Able to coordinate with legal and rights teams to ensure compliant licensing processes.
• Project Coordination: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple timelines, from campaign rollouts to synch clearance steps, with accuracy and responsiveness.

Experience:
• 8+ years of experience in relevant music industry and/or synch licensing experiences

• Excellent spoken and written in both Korean & English
