  • Proven ability to guide and oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Fluency in both Dutch and English.

They will have a vast network of key players/stakeholders in the market/industry, including Producers, Directors, Writers, Head of Production, Editors, and on-screen talent.

They should be a self-motivated, proactive individual who thinks fast on their feet and is flexible, adaptable and a fast learner. This demanding and fast-moving role will require a proactive thinker with sound judgment and initiative. They should be able to juggle multiple and diverse responsibilities across projects at varying stages of development. Above all, being self-aware, confident, trustworthy, conscientious, motivated, and discerning.

Key Responsibilities

The role is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract for parental cover and is a key team member who will play a critical role in developing and executing creatively excellent series and films helping to build a steady programming pipeline in line with the needs of our Benelux slate. This role works approximately 70% of the time across Series and 30% across Film. The person will do this by:

  • Be the content executive, evaluating ideas and giving creative insights and feedback on ideas at all stages with the aim of delivering creatively excellent shows and films that will bring joy to our members.
  • Being an effective collaborator to our producing partners, using previous experience producing creatively excellent series and films.
  • Utilizing your vast talent network, including Directors, Writers, Heads of Department, Editors, and on-screen talent, and maintaining excellent relationships with key talent.
  • Actively searching for new ideas, including but not limited to building relationships with new writers, and directors, exploring IP opportunities, both internal (existing shows from other regions ripe for adaptation) and external books, games or podcasts that we can adapt into series and film.
  • Working collaboratively with teams, including Production Management, Post Management, VFX, Marketing and PR
  • Knowledge sharing across EMEA teams on creative wins, learning, and best practices.

Experience:

  • Functional Expertise: 10+ years of filmmaking experience as a Creative Executive, Creative Producer, Network Executive, Writer or Script Editor, with experience in producing from development to delivery.
  • Media Landscape Insight: In-depth knowledge of the Benelux media landscape, with a robust network within the creative community, encompassing both above and below-the-line talent.
  • Editorial Experience: Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, simultaneously guiding and overseeing multiple projects across various development and production phases – from evaluation to delivery.
  • Talent Development: Genuine interest and discerning eye for emerging talent, showcasing a commitment to nurturing and promoting fresh voices.
  • High tolerance for change and a capacity to deliver results in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills: in both English and Dutch, ensuring effective collaboration and understanding.
  • Innovative Mindset: Willingness to be innovative, take educated risks, and think outside the conventional boundaries.
  • Language: Fluency in both Dutch and English is required
