Job Description

Manage the QA planning and execution for the iFirm Global product's ongoing releases. Key responsibilities include functional test requirement analysis, test strategy and planning, test design and execution, software regression analysis, and root cause analysis. The role also involves test automation framework requirements analysis, design, and implementation, including automation strategy, development, maintenance, and code reviews. Participation in Agile processes, understanding business and quality priorities, devising suitable QA processes, aligning with product KPIs, and managing risks are crucial. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to optimize efficiencies and improve product quality is essential. The individual will be the custodian of quality and make decisions beneficial for the business.
Must have:
  • Test management, strategizing, planning & execution
  • Strong experience in test automation delivery
  • Practical OOPS knowledge and experience
  • Hands-on experience designing automation frameworks
  • Hands-on experience in API and UI automation
  • Experience with .NET, C#, Selenium, Playwright
  • Experience with Jenkins, Jira, Git
  • Experience in setting Continuous Integration
  • Experience in Behavior Driven Development (BDD)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and collaboration skills
Good to have:
  • Service level automation
  • SQL query building & execution
  • Knowledge of stored procedures

Job Details

Role: Test Manager(M2)

Purpose of role: To manage the QA planning and execution for the ongoing releases for the iFirm Global product

Key areas of responsibilities:

  • Functional test requirement analysis
  • Test strategy and planning
  • Test design and execution
  • Software regression analysis and test planning
  • Root cause analysis and planning/executing corrective and preventive actions

  • Test automation framework requirements analysis, design and implementation
  • Automation strategy & planning
  • Automation development and maintenance
  • Automation test cases Code reviews

  • Participation in Agile process
  • Understand business and quality priorities
  • Devise a QA process suitable to overcome the quality challenges and achieve objectives
  • Aligning with the product KPIs and identification & demonstration of QA KPI, metrics
  • Risk identification, management
  • Collaborate with cross functional development and support (consultant) teams to optimize efficiencies and improve product quality
  • Being custodian of quality and should take hard decisions beneficial for the business/quality

Knowledge, skills and experience:

Overall experience: 12- 15 years

QA experience: 8+ years

  • Experienced in test management, strategizing, planning & execution [ Strategizing scope of testing suites for Smoke, regression, Integration and ensure optimal coverage of testing for release]
  • Strong experience in test automation delivery and demonstrating benefits
  • Very good and practical OOPS knowledge and experience
  • Hands-on experience in designing writing and maintaining automation test framework

  • Hands-on experience in developing automation at
    • Services level
    • API Automation
    • UI Level

  • Technology: .NET (API testing, C#, Selenium, Playwright)

  • Tools: Jenkins, Selenium Web driver, Test management tools like Microsoft test manager, Agile tools like Jira, Rally, Code repository/version control tools like Subversion, Git, GitFlow

  • Experience in setting Continuous Integration and Continuous testing

  • Experience in Behavior Driven Development (BDD)

  • Database: SQL query building & execution, knowledge of stored procedures desirable

  • Other competencies-
    • Strong analytical, reasoning and problem solving skills
    • Good communication and collaboration skills to work with Sales, Support, Consulting Services, Product Management and Development teams
