Job Description

The Manufacturing OPEX Leader oversees the deployment of operational excellence capabilities and standardized approaches, aligning them with organizational goals. This role involves planning and executing Hoshin planning, assessing organizational maturity in Operational Excellence, and guiding Plant Management Teams to improve key business metrics. The leader collaborates to resolve issues using lean tools and continuous improvement methodologies, spearheads engagement initiatives, and drives productivity planning. They also identify cost-saving opportunities and contribute to the long-term strategic vision for operational excellence, while managing talent within the team.
Must have:
  • Oversees the deployment and integration of essential capabilities and standardized operational approaches introduced through the ISC transformation.
  • Plans, maintains, and drives the execution of Hoshin planning at regional and site levels.
  • Promotes and conducts thorough evaluations and calibration exercises to assess Operational Excellence maturity.
  • Guides Plant Management Teams in enhancing key business metrics through OPEX assessments and actionable insights.
  • Collaborates with the business to address issues effectively, leveraging lean tools, CI methodology, Kaizen events, and Problem Solving.
  • Spearheads initiatives to foster robust engagement and collaboration among Business Group Operations and Functional leaders.
  • Leads productivity planning and execution while maintaining an end-to-end view of value chain efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Identifies and initiates enhanced cost-saving opportunities through strategic process streamlining and collaboration.
  • Assists in formulating a strategic vision for operational excellence over the long term.
  • Manages talent across the team, driving employee selection, performance management, compensation, and career development.

Job Details

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the deployment and integration of essential capabilities and standardized operational approaches introduced through the (Intraoperative Surgical Checklist) ISC transformation, ensuring seamless implementation across the organization, aligning them with organizational goals and customer needs.
  • Plans, maintains, and drives the execution of Hoshin planning at both regional and site levels, ensuring sustainability and continuous improvement.
  • Promotes and conducts thorough evaluations and calibration exercises to assess the organization's maturity in Operational Excellence, utilizing established frameworks and metrics.
  • Guides Plant Management Teams (PlantMTs) in enhancing key business metrics through regular Operational Excellence (OPEX) assessments and actionable insights.
  • Collaborates with the business to address issues effectively, leveraging lean tools, Continuous Improvement (CI) methodology, Kaizen events, and Problem Solving techniques.
  • Spearheads initiatives to foster robust engagement and collaboration among Business Group Operations and Functional leaders, facilitating effective communication and alignment.
  • Leads productivity planning and execution while maintaining an end-to-end view of value chain efficiency and effectiveness, optimizing resource allocation and performance.
  • Identifies and initiates enhanced cost-saving opportunities through strategic process streamlining, advanced analytical techniques, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Assists in formulating a strategic vision for operational excellence over the long term, considering the implications of evolving business trends, and looking out for changes to be accommodated in the strategy.
  • Manages talent across the team, while driving employee selection, performance management, compensation management, career development, and ensuring effective operational management.

You're the right fit if:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience with Bachelor's OR Minimum 3 years of experience with Master's in areas such as Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain or equivalent.
  • Solid hands-on execution experience in Make to order and Make to Stock type of manufacturing mode
  • Lean Master or Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent.
