Job Description

The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for managing material, human, and administrative resources in the Final Assembly area to ensure the fulfillment of regular production plans and shipments. This role involves supervision, operational and production administration, and meeting the department's S.P.Q.V.C. metrics, ensuring a safe working environment and continuous improvement.
Must have:
  • Manage resources for production plans and shipments.
  • Supervise operations, production, and meet S.P.Q.V.C. metrics.
  • Ensure safe work environment, conduct SOT rounds and incident analysis.
  • Comply with internal regulations and operational disciplines.
  • Facilitate natural work groups; train and certify personnel.
  • Administer payroll corrections, absenteeism, and turnover.
  • Follow up on new hires; participate in team meetings.
  • Conduct shift handovers; respond to and solve detractors.
  • Participate in assigned multidisciplinary teams and perform level audits.
  • Ensure area conservation (5'6) and material respect.
  • Develop monthly preventive/corrective actions for FTQ detractors.
  • Review first-piece quality and monitor product during shift.
  • Prevent product quality defects; deliver quality surveys.
  • Dispose of red tags within 24 hours of effectiveness.
  • Ensure quality systems integrity and verify daily Quality Gates.
  • Maintain zero customer complaints and audit non-conformances.
  • Achieve production plan compliance; ensure daily order shipments.
  • Ensure labor efficiency; control and update SPQVC.
  • Meet area waste objectives; promote continuous improvements.
  • Proficiency in basic/intermediate Excel and email writing.
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001, emergency response, waste management.
  • Machine safety, risk analysis, and proper tool use.

Position Description

Manufacturing Final Assembly for the management of material, human, and administrative resources to meet regular production order construction and shipping plans.

Fulfill supervision, operation, and production administration activities, as well as meet the S.P.Q.V.C. department metrics.

General Functions

  • Make our environment a safe place to work through SOT rounds, documentation, and action closure.
  • Perform 3/5 Why analysis in reported medical cases of ST7/ST9.
  • Comply with and enforce internal work regulations, as well as operational disciplines.
  • Ensure and facilitate the functioning of the natural work groups in your area. (facilitate personal use tools such as knives, gloves, picks, assembly tape and/or personal protective equipment such as glasses, earplugs, special gloves).
  • Keep your personnel trained, qualified, and certified in the applicable processes of each operating station.
  • Ensure the payment of your personnel in charge through payroll corrections administration, such as: (Normal pay, Vacations, TLO, permits, etc.).
  • Administration of absenteeism and turnover metrics.
  • Follow-up on new hires, (training and performance follow-up). Follow-up on absenteeism, preparation and delivery to Human Resources.
  • Active participation in your assigned group, keeping informed of metric compliance, surveys, and special events through a 5-minute meeting. (agenda in hand).
  • Shift handover round, commitment to detailed review of applicable points, response capacity, and solution to detractors.
  • Participate in the multidisciplinary teams to which you are assigned.
  • Carry out your level audit.
  • 5'6, assurance of area conservation and respect for material.
  • Prepare preventive and corrective actions for the main FTQ detractor (monthly).
  • Review of product quality on the first piece and monitoring during the shift.
  • Ability to review and prevent quality defects in the product.
  • Preparation and delivery of quality surveys for your assigned lines.
  • Disposal of red tags within a period not exceeding 24 hours after being effective.
  • Assurance of quality systems, through integrity and honesty in administration, application, and follow-up of merits.
  • Verify daily compliance with Quality Gates.
  • Maintain the zero customer complaints metric.
  • Maintain the zero non-conformances metric in IATF / BSI audits.
  • Achieve compliance with and adherence to the production plan, ensuring the shipment of daily orders. (Planning according to the labor efficiency of your production line).
  • Assurance of the labor efficiency metric, maintain hourly controls and manufacturing 101 activities.
  • Control and update of SPQVC for your assigned production lines. aa. Comply with the waste objective of your area.
  • bb. Promote and ensure the implementation of continuous improvements and their documentation.

Required Training

  • Basic/intermediate Excel proficiency.
  • Email writing.
  • Induction to the basic ISO 14001 introduction program focused on identifying the ISO 14001 standard, the importance of its compliance, and how your work contributes to maintaining certification in the standard.
  • Emergency response in case of spills of hazardous materials and waste.
  • HONP 5-3 SE-MEX 24 ES Non-Hazardous Waste Management.
  • Environmental Objectives and Goals.
  • Hazardous and Non-Hazardous Waste.
  • Personal protective equipment (induction).
  • Machine safety for personnel working on machines. Use of guards and safety devices, daily review of machine safety points SOT.
  • Machinery risk analysis.
  • Proper and safe use of tools.
