Job Description

This role is responsible for scaling Activate’s group sales programs across corporate locations in Canada and the U.S. You will drive regional and local sales initiatives, generate leads through strategic community and corporate partnerships, leverage targeted marketing to elevate brand presence and position Activate as the destination for active gaming! This is full-time, permanent role reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications. The successful candidate may be based anywhere in Canada.
Good To Have:
  • Post secondary education in Marketing, Business, PR, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of Braze or similar CRM platform.
Must Have:
  • Grow and maintain existing customer relationships through friendly and professional communication.
  • Drive new business development through proactive sales efforts, including cold calling and lead conversion.
  • Assess local markets to build community engagement initiatives.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to develop and implement promotional events and advertising campaigns.
  • Oversee the execution of events to provide an excellent customer experience.
  • Develop a framework that equips leaders with tools and guidelines for sales growth strategies.
  • Conduct market research and leverage CRM data to identify trends and growth opportunities.
  • Identify and analyze trends to expand Activate's reach and increase revenue.
  • Develop innovative strategies to generate new business relationships and strengthen existing partnerships.
  • 3-5+ years of demonstrated success in sales, preferably within the entertainment or a related sector.
  • Experience in lead generation and customer lifecycle marketing.
  • Strong understanding of local marketing and community engagement strategies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
  • Sales driven with strong relationship building and client management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas and deliver presentations.
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask, perform effectively under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Collaborative team player.
  • Energetic, motivated, and committed to delivering results.
  • Ability to travel occasionally (approximately 10% of the time).

This role is responsible for scaling Activate’s group sales programs across corporate locations in Canada and the U.S. You will drive regional and local sales initiatives, generate leads through strategic community and corporate partnerships, leverage targeted marketing to elevate brand presence and position Activate as the destination for active gaming! This is full-time, permanent role reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications. The successful candidate may be based anywhere in Canada.

The Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Grow and maintain existing customer relationships through friendly and professional communication; act as a liaison to address and resolve any concerns
  • Drive new business development through proactive sales efforts, including cold calling and follow-up to identify and convert leads into customers
  • Assess local markets to build community engagement initiatives and position Activate’s group sales offerings for success (e.g., schools, sports teams, tourism organizations, local events)
  • Partner with cross functional teams to develop and implement promotional events, advertising campaigns, and other key initiatives that drive group sales
  • Oversee the execution of events to provide an excellent customer experience, including collaborating with stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions that exceed customer expectations
  • Develop a framework that equips leaders with the tools and guidelines to launch and/or collaborate on sales growth strategies tailored to their market
  • Conduct market research and leverage CRM data to identify trends, analyze customer behavior, and uncover growth opportunities in target markets
  • Identify and analyze trends to develop strategies that expand Activate reach and increase revenue and guide future planning
  • Develop innovative and creative strategies to generate new business relationships while strengthening existing partnerships

The Qualifications:

  • 3-5+ years of demonstrated success in sales, preferably within the entertainment or a related sector
  • Post secondary education in Marketing, Business, PR, or a related field is considered an asset
  • Experience in lead generation and customer lifecycle marketing
  • Strong understanding of local marketing and community engagement strategies
  • Working knowledge of Braze or similar CRM platform is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SharePoint, with adaptability to learning new software
  • Sales driven with strong relationship building and client management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas and deliver presentations to target audiences
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask, perform effectively under pressure, and meet tight deadlines
  • Collaborative team player who partners effectively across internal teams
  • Energetic, motivated, and committed to delivering results
  • Ability to travel occasionally (approximately 10% of the time)
