Job Summary

Mirage is seeking a Data Scientist to drive its marketing strategy. This role involves collaborating with Marketing, Product, and Finance teams to enhance acquisition performance, refine attribution models, and establish robust measurement foundations for company growth. As the inaugural Data Scientist focused on marketing analytics, you will define key success metrics, evaluate funnel performance, and uncover critical insights to shape the go-to-market strategy.

Must Have

  • Analyze acquisition, lifecycle, and overall marketing performance.
  • Build and maintain predictive models for forecasting, customer understanding, targeting, and personalization.
  • Develop and improve marketing measurement frameworks.
  • Conduct deep analyses of customer behavior, segments, and retention patterns.
  • Design, run, and evaluate experiments (e.g., A/B tests).
  • Assess multi-channel campaign performance and provide recommendations.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance data quality and evolve marketing datasets.
  • Communicate insights clearly and effectively to leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in data science, marketing data science, or growth analytics within B2C, B2B, e-commerce, or SaaS environments.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python.
  • Hands-on experience with modern cloud data warehouses (e.g., BigQuery) and building scalable data models or pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of marketing measurement, including CAC, CLV, ROAS, funnel analytics, incrementality testing, and attribution methods (MMM, MTA, SKAN).
  • Experience with predictive modeling (LTV, churn, conversion propensity, clustering, time-series forecasting).
  • Familiarity with mobile measurement partners (AppsFlyer or Adjust) and mobile attribution concepts.
  • Experience designing and evaluating experiments with statistical testing, causal inference, and uplift modeling.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Data Scientist to help power our marketing strategy. In this role, you’ll partner with Marketing, Product, and Finance to improve acquisition performance, refine attribution, and build the measurement foundations that guide our company’s growth.

As the first Data Scientist dedicated to marketing analytics, you will define core success metrics, evaluate funnel performance, and uncover insights that shape our go-to-market strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze acquisition, lifecycle, and overall marketing performance to surface trends, identify funnel gaps, and highlight opportunities to improve efficiency and customer value.
  • Build and maintain predictive models that support forecasting, customer understanding, targeting, and personalization.
  • Develop and improve marketing measurement frameworks to better understand channel impact, attribution, and drivers of growth.
  • Conduct deep analyses of customer behavior, segments, and retention patterns to inform marketing and product strategy.
  • Design, run, and evaluate experiments (e.g., A/B tests) to measure the impact of marketing initiatives and guide decision-making.
  • Assess multi-channel campaign performance and provide clear recommendations to marketing partners to improve outcomes.
  • Work closely with cross functional teams and leadership to enhance data quality, evolve marketing datasets, and support scalable analytical workflows.
  • Communicate insights clearly and effectively, turning complex analyses into actionable recommendations for leadership and cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data science, marketing data science, or growth analytics within B2C, B2B, e-commerce, or SaaS environments.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python, including experience with data manipulation libraries and statistical modeling.
  • Hands-on experience with modern cloud data warehouses (e.g., BigQuery) and building scalable data models or pipelines for analytics.
  • Strong understanding of marketing measurement, including CAC, CLV, ROAS, funnel analytics, incrementality testing, and attribution methods (MMM, MTA, SKAN).
  • Experience with predictive modeling, such as LTV, churn, conversion propensity, clustering, and time-series forecasting.
  • Familiarity with mobile measurement partners, including AppsFlyer or Adjust, and mobile attribution concepts.
  • Experience designing and evaluating experiments, with a solid grounding in statistical testing, causal inference, and uplift modeling.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally, partnering with Marketing, Product, Finance, and Data Engineering stakeholders.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down ambiguous problems and operate autonomously in fast-paced environments.
  • Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical insights to non-technical audiences.
