WildBrain CPLG in Shanghai is offering a marketing internship opportunity for students to gain exposure to the licensing business. The role involves assisting the marketing team with various tasks, including social media operations (Weibo, WeChat, Red Book, Douyin), KOL/KOC engagement, marketing event support, cross-stakeholder collaboration, and contributing creative ideas for brand activities. Interns will learn about character licensing such as Peanuts and Teletubbies and participate in events. This placement provides valuable industry experience and insight into international business operations.
Must have:
  • Shanghai based, interested in entertainment and IP industry.
  • Work at least 3 days a week for more than 3 months.
  • Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive with a solution/result-oriented attitude and team player.
  • Strong communication and writing skills.
  • Good command of English and Chinese.
  • Passion for marketing and learning.
  • Experience with common social media channels.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

About the Role 

WildBrain is offering an amazing opportunity for an internship for student to gain exposure to all areas of marketing & events in the licensing business within WildBrain CPLG in Shanghai. You will work closely with the marketing team. You will learn about licensing especially on Character licensing (Peanuts & Teletubbies) and participate in events in & around Shanghai, promoting our products and licensing activities. You will also involve with Marketing/Social media and Brand Management; this placement will give valuable industry experience and insight into the operations of a successful international business.

Job Description

  • Social media operation:
    • Assist in daily content, social campaign planning and operation of Weibo, WeChat, Red Book, Douyin
    • Assist in in KOL/KOC screening, content review, implementation and follow up of social platforms such as Red Book and Douyin
  • Marketing events support – assisting in planning, communication, coordination, on the ground events collaboration with partners in China.
  • Collaborate and coordinate across multiple stakeholders, including working with internal approval processes for marketing functions.
  • Participate in brainstorming from time to time, including providing creative ideas for brand activities, social media marketing programmes etc.
  • Helping to update franchise calendars and presentation decks.
  • General outreach to prospects to start new conversations on marketing and promotion collaborations.

Qualifications

  • Shanghai based, interested in entertainment and IP industry, working at least 3 days a week for more than 3 months
  • Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong communication and writing skills and a good command of English & Chinese
