This Marketing Manager role in Japan involves leading comprehensive marketing efforts, including brand awareness, product marketing, and community engagement. The position requires developing and executing localized marketing plans, managing New Product Introduction campaigns, and collaborating with local, regional, and global teams. Key responsibilities include overseeing social media, PR, influencer marketing, esports initiatives, and community building. The role demands strong analytical skills, budget management, and representation at industry events, aiming to drive brand visibility, market share, and sales revenue in Japan.
Good To Have:

  • Basic understanding of Photoshop/design tools for asset adaptation or review
  • Experience with AI tools to perform tasks such as adapting text, translations, artwork
Must Have:
  • Develop and execute localized Japan marketing plan
  • Lead end-to-end planning and execution of New Product Introduction (NPI) marketing campaigns
  • Collaborate with local Japan team, regional HQ, and global teams
  • Manage external agencies, influencers, and media partners
  • Lead esports marketing initiatives, including team management
  • Build relationships with local gaming communities, streamers, and tournament organizers
  • Plan and execute grassroots and community-driven programs
  • Track and analyze campaign performance, generate insights, and report KPIs
  • Oversee the Japan marketing budget
  • Represent Razer at local industry events, tradeshows, esports tournaments
  • Continuously monitor market trends, competitor activity, and consumer behavior
  • At least 8 years of marketing experience, ideally in gaming, tech, lifestyle, or consumer electronics
  • Proven expertise in outreach marketing, especially PR, influencer engagement, and social media strategy
  • Demonstrated success in managing NPI campaigns, localizing global content, and launching new products
  • Fluent in both Japanese and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong experience working with local sales and channel teams
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a structured, analytical, and detail-oriented approach
  • Comfortable working in a multi-national environment and navigating local Japanese business culture
  • Skilled in agency and partner management, with the ability to drive cross-functional execution

Job Responsibilities :

We are seeking a driven and experienced Marketing Manager to lead Japan’s marketing efforts across brand awareness, product marketing, and community engagement. The ideal candidate is strategic yet hands-on, with experience in managing outreach activities such as social media, PR, and influencer marketing, and strong coordination skills to work with cross-functional and regional teams. The role ties in closely with market share and sales revenue objectives and will play a key part in supporting overall business growth in Japan.

  • Develop and execute a localized Japan marketing plan, with a focus on outreach, including social media, public relations, influencer marketing, and earned media to grow brand visibility and cultural relevance.
  • Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of New Product Introduction (NPI) marketing campaigns tailored to the Japanese market.
  • Collaborate closely with the local Japan team, that includes the Japan Country Manager and Channel Sales Manager to align marketing initiatives with business goals.
  • Work in tandem with the regional HQ team in Singapore and global teams to localize campaign assets and messaging while ensuring consistency with global brand direction.
  • Manage external agencies, influencers, and media partners to drive impactful campaigns and outreach efforts.
  • Lead esports marketing initiatives, including the management of our signed esports team, to maximize exposure, drive engagement, and ensure alignment with brand values and campaign goals.
  • Build relationships with local gaming communities, streamers, and tournament organizers to strengthen brand affinity and visibility.
  • Plan and execute grassroots and community-driven programs to foster a loyal and active Razer fan base in Japan.
  • Track and analyze campaign performance, generate insights, and report regularly on marketing KPIs and outcomes versus targets.
  • Oversee the Japan marketing budget, ensuring effective and efficient use of resources to maximize ROI.
  • Represent Razer at local industry events, tradeshows, esports tournaments, and gaming activations as needed.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate market trends, competitor activity, and consumer behavior to inform local marketing strategy.
