Position Summary

Work with the Delaware State Lottery marketing staff and Lottery retailers to increase awareness and sales for all Lottery products. (Draw, Keno, Instant and Sports Pick)

Territory includes North Kent County into New Castle County.

Promote lottery products while in retail locations to retailer’s customers.  Interact with current players and educate potential players on all Lottery products.  Use Delaware Dollars (marketing coupon) during visits to promote products to new and current Lottery players.

Build relationships and work with retail location owners, managers and employees to offer suggestions for ways to sell Lottery products and increase sales.

Keep Lottery supplies stocked and point of sale materials current for all Lottery products at retail locations. Check self-service vending machines while at specific retailers, keep plan-o-grams current, check game loading against monthly plan and assist as needed with loading the vending unit. 

During football season, you will assist with parlay card supplies, weekly delivery and training for retailers, employees and players. Knowledge of sports betting a plus.

Train retailer’s new employees on Lottery products and equipment.  Assist, if needed, with any minor equipment issues found or call in for service while on site.

Work with Lottery marketing staff to promote products at community events and functions. During events season there will be requirements to adjust your hours to cover community events including some evenings and weekends. Participation in monthly Lottery product parties will also be required. Generally, two per month with some evening hours (4-6PM or 5-7PM)

Education

Must have a high school diploma or equivalency.
