Job description
The TransPerfect Corporate Media Transcription team is in search of a Project Manager who has an eye for detail, and can seamlessly manage multiple projects at once, work independently and a true passion for the localization and accessibility industry.
Position Summary
The position of Transcription Project Manager is a key player on the global corporate media team. Project Managers execute all transcription projects from the start to finish and serve as a single point of accountability for their successful completion.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Managing the entire lifecycle and budget of transcription projects.
- Creating subtitles and voiceover scripts, predominantly in English, for various verticals within the corporate industry
- Transcribing either from an audio file or video file, or updating/revising/correcting client provided documents in different formats.
- Timecoding and positioning text in subtitling software to time source-text to source-audio/video
- Researching words/names/concepts/facts: using dictionaries, online dictionaries or existing online reference material (e.g. YouTube, client websites, etc.)
- Following client-specific style-guides and technical specifications
- Updating internal project management systems to confirm project status and coordinate with global production teams.
- Checking final deliverable files against the source to make sure product meets client needs/specifications.
Job requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Proven experience in subtitling and proficiency using subtitling tools
- Natural curiosity to learn and experiment with new processes and technologies
- Excellent prioritization and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure
- Strong understanding of subtitling rules, formatting and accessibility standards
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and follow client specific guidelines
Education and/or Experience
- Fluent in English
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent.
- 1+ years of experience working in transcription or a similar role.
- Strong Office 365/computer skills.
