Job Summary
Wind River is seeking an experienced, high-performing Member of Technical Staff (SMTS) – Software Quality Assurance (QA) engineer to join a skilled development team. This role involves building a flagship cloud-based DevSecOps platform, ensuring software reliability through robust testing frameworks, and mentoring junior engineers. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in test automation, performance testing, and software quality best practices, contributing to industry-leading capabilities across various critical infrastructure domains.
Must Have
- Develop, implement, and maintain automated testing frameworks.
- Design, execute, and manage comprehensive test plans and test cases for functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
- Collaborate with development and product teams to ensure test coverage and timely bug resolution.
- Analyze test results, identify root causes of defects, and drive improvements in product quality.
- Advocate for best practices in software testing and quality assurance across teams.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior QA engineers.
- Enhance CI/CD pipelines with automated test execution and reporting.
- Stay updated with emerging trends in software testing and introduce innovations in testing methodologies.
- Communicate proactively and flag risks.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 5-8 years in Software QA, including test automation and performance testing.
- Strong proficiency in test automation tools (e.g., Pytest, Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
- Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling, LoadRunner).
- Solid knowledge of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, DevOps).
- Expertise in scripting/programming languages (Python, Java, JavaScript, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, etc.).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Good to Have
- Experience building and delivering DevSecOps platforms is a huge plus.
- Experience with IaaC like Terraform and Helm Charts.
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins.
- Experience with Jira, Agile and Scrum.
- Experience with security testing and tools like OWASP ZAP.
- Knowledge of API testing frameworks (Postman, RestAssured).
- Certifications such as ISTQB, CSTE, or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer.

We are seeking a highly skilled Member of Technical Staff (SMTS) – Software Quality Assurance (QA) to join our team. This role requires a seasoned QA professional with deep expertise in test automation, performance testing, and software quality best practices. The ideal candidate will contribute to building robust testing frameworks, ensuring software reliability, and mentoring junior engineers.
ABOUT YOU
