Job Summary
As a Merchandising Analyst at Funko, you will be instrumental in developing channel and account-specific merchandising strategies. This involves analyzing historical sales, POS trends, and category performance to build accurate forecasts, partnering with various teams to align plans, and identifying growth opportunities. You will also support financial planning by modeling revenue and margin targets, provide insights on product performance, and build reporting dashboards. The role requires determining optimal product mixes and evaluating assortment productivity to support brand priorities and market trends.
Must Have
- Analyze historical sales, POS trends, and category performance to build accurate forecasts
- Partner with Sales, Merchandising, and Demand Planning to align forecasts with promotional plans, launches, and seasonal cadences
- Identify sales opportunity gaps and develop data-driven recommendations to drive future growth
- Support annual and seasonal financial plans by modeling revenue, margin, and productivity targets across product lines
- Provide insights on sales drivers, product performance, and financial risks/opportunities to guide strategic decision-making
- Build reporting dashboards to track performance against plan and inform leadership on trends affecting profitability
- Partner with Merchandising and Sales teams to determine the optimal mix of styles, franchises, colors, and sizes to support account strategies
- Conduct SKU-level and collection-level analyses to evaluate assortment productivity and recommend additions, deletions, or SKU rationalization
- Ensure product assortments support brand priorities, market trends, and account-specific consumer preferences
- Work closely with Sales, Merchandising, Marketing, and Demand Planning to ensure alignment on assortment strategy, forecasting assumptions, and financial targets
- Present insights and recommendations to leadership and cross-functional partners to influence go-to-market strategy
- Utilize Power BI, Microsoft Dynamics, and Excel to analyze large data sets, model scenarios, and create visual reporting dashboards
- Maintain strong data hygiene and ensure reporting accuracy for business-critical decisions
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, Analytics, or a related field
- 3–5 years of experience in merchandising planning, sales planning, or financial planning within consumer products or retail
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills with the ability to synthesize insights into clear recommendations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting analytical findings to non-technical audiences
- Proficiency in Power BI, Microsoft Dynamics, and Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, data modeling)
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable analyzing complex datasets

What You’ll Do
As a Merchandising Analyst, you will play a key role in shaping channel and account-specific merchandising strategies through sales forecasting, financial planning, and assortment analysis. Your work directly influences how Funko builds compelling product assortments and meets the needs of retailers and fans alike—without direct responsibility for inventory management.

Salary Information
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $77,968 -- $92,000 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives.
