Job Summary

Quince is seeking a Merchandising Analyst to join their growing team in San Francisco. This role supports merchants throughout the product development lifecycle, from identification and sourcing to publishing. The analyst will coordinate with various teams, manage product catalog items, create purchase orders, organize samples, and maintain product detail pages. The ideal candidate is performance-driven, highly organized, detail-oriented, and focused on process improvement to ensure efficient product launches and data accuracy.

Must Have

  • Support merchants on execution of product identification, sourcing, development, and publishing process
  • Coordinate between Sourcing, Creative, Engineering, Marketing teams to help launch products on site
  • Create items in product catalog and write purchase orders for new products
  • Organize samples for photoshoots and maintain product detail pages
  • Communicate with vendors regularly on sample tracking and delivery status
  • Manage product development data integrity within internal business systems
  • Implement tools and streamline processes to improve team health and effectiveness
  • Strong understanding of retail math and retail reporting
  • Proficient with MS Office/G Suite applications including Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Ability to work full-time in the SF office (5 days per week)

Good to Have

  • 1+ years of wholesale, retail, or merchandising experience
  • Bachelor's degree or higher

THE ROLE

Merchandising Analyst

We’re looking for a Merchandising Analyst to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is a performance-driven retail professional with a strong foundation in retail math, merchandising analytics, and reporting. This person thrives in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment where priorities shift quickly. They bring a strong sense of urgency, are highly organized, and obsess over details, timelines, and execution. They’re not just problem solvers - they’re process improvers, always looking for ways to work smarter and more efficiently across cross-functional teams.

Success in this position means maintaining operational excellence across the product development lifecycle, ensuring data accuracy, and driving process improvements that enable faster, smarter product launches. This role plays a critical part in advancing both our Merchandising team’s goals and Quince’s broader mission to make exceptionally high-quality essentials accessible to all.

Responsibilities

  • Supports merchants on execution of product identification, sourcing, development, and publishing process

  • Manage product development data integrity within internal business systems across all stages of product development and sourcing process
  • Implement tools and streamline processes to help eliminate inefficient ways of working and improve overall team health & effectiveness

Qualifications

Required:

  • Strong understanding of retail math and retail reporting
  • Product obsessed, with an eye for good design and market trends
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented with a focus on execution, problem solving, improving processes
  • Continuous learner and highly curious, always open to considering new perspectives, comfortable balancing multiple priorities and pivoting with last minute changes
  • Enjoys a fast-paced environment and has a high sense of urgency
  • Performance driven and performance motivated - gets results and likes being in a culture that values performance
  • Proficient with MS Office/ G Suite applications including Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Location: San Francisco - this role is based full-time in our SF office (5 days per week).

Preferred:

  • 1+ years of of wholesale, retail, or merchandising experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
