This role is within the PayPay Financial Strategy Division, aiming to establish PayPay as the leading Fintech company by developing comprehensive financial use cases. The position focuses on inventing user-first payment and financial services for over 4.1 million merchants, leveraging PayPay's extensive data to identify and solve user challenges. The goal is to significantly contribute to PayPay's revenue growth and business expansion through innovative financial solutions.
Must have:
  • 3+ years of B2B marketing experience
  • Experience in B2B marketing strategy and planning
  • Knowledge and experience in digital marketing (Web ads, SEO, content marketing, MA operation)

About the Job

Introduction to PayPay Financial Strategy Division

This is the execution unit that aims to achieve the company-wide mission of making PayPay the No. 1 Fintech company by creating all money-related use cases on the PayPay app (beyond "spending," including "saving," "increasing," "borrowing," "preparing," and "managing"). We will also invent UI/UX for smartphone-first financial services. Our team consists of members with diverse experiences, such as those who have experienced new business development at major financial institutions, those who have achieved results at trading companies or internet companies, and those who have been involved in new businesses overseas. We want to work with people who have a strong passion for improving existing financial services.

Organizational structure: Composed of about 70 members, ranging from late 20s to late 40s.

To enhance the UI/UX of smartphone-first financial services, we need to realize solutions (most of which do not yet exist in the world) through UI/UX and services for the challenges users face. However, user challenges are often invisible. Users won't tell you about them. We want new hires to realize truly user-first financial services.

Job Description

This position is for new business development in "Payment and Financial Services for PayPay Merchants." While PayPay is strongly associated with consumer services, over 4.1 million merchants support its payment platform behind the scenes.

PayPay has significantly changed the user's purchasing experience in the consumer mobile payment sector, but now we are challenging ourselves to invent user-first payment and financial services not only for consumers but also for merchants.

Globally, user-first business services already exist. Although PayPay is a latecomer, we aim to invent services that are comparable to them, allowing anyone to use them "naturally and easily," and realize a world where businesses are more convenient.

You will be responsible for making PayPay's financial business No. 1 in Japan and contributing to PayPay's revenue expansion and business growth through financial services.

  • Formulation and execution of B2B marketing strategies for merchant financial services
  • Market research, competitor analysis, and clear definition of target customers
  • Extraction of insights using PayPay's big data and reflection in strategies and measures
  • Planning and execution of lead generation and lead nurturing measures
  • Planning, execution, performance measurement, analysis, and improvement of various marketing measures

  • Experience in a series of tasks from data-based analysis, problem discovery, strategy formulation, execution, and performance measurement
  • Experience in business promotion and project management
