Job Description

This role is for an Accounting Planning specialist at PayPay, a rapidly growing fintech company. The team's mission is to define system requirements for new service launches and improvements related to accounting ledgers and regulatory reporting data. This involves coordinating with service planning, system, and accounting departments to ensure smooth service releases. The position requires proactive identification of improvements and driving planning initiatives, contributing to the company's growth and operational efficiency, especially in optimizing financial accounting data with internal controls.
Must have:
  • Coordinate with various departments for internal accounting process organization during new service releases
  • Organize accounting requirements and define data requirements for accounting ledgers
  • Verify data in test environments
  • Coordinate and maintain accounting operations and flows with various departments
  • Support for reconciliation of main account balances and system balances by the system department
  • Management tasks related to accounting operations
Good to have:
  • English proficiency (email and internal chat communication level)
  • Practical experience in data linkage related tasks
  • Practical experience in planning consumer-facing services or projects
  • Experience in cross-organizational project promotion
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations related to financial business
  • Accounting knowledge equivalent to Bookkeeping Level 2
  • Knowledge to read and write SQL queries

About the Role

▼Team Introduction

Our mission is to define the system requirements necessary for new service launches and improvements, primarily concerning accounting ledgers and data reported to regulatory authorities as a fund transfer service provider. We coordinate with service planning, system, and accounting departments to smoothly release new services. This role will be involved in almost all service launches.

This position allows you to proactively identify areas for improvement and exert your planning and promotion skills towards solutions, providing an environment where you can grow rapidly with the company.

▼Recruitment Background

This is an increase in headcount due to the rapid growth of the company, leading to increased workload and the need for operational efficiency/systemization.

Current members are working to optimize financial accounting data with internal controls by coordinating with accounting staff, various internal departments related to accounting, and development departments. However, promoting efficiency and systemization as a coordinator with various internal departments is an urgent task.

  • Coordination with various departments for internal accounting process organization during new service releases
  • Organization of accounting requirements and definition of data requirements for accounting ledgers
  • Data verification in test environments
  • Coordination and maintenance of accounting operations and flows with various departments
  • Support for reconciliation of main account balances and system balances by the system department
  • Management tasks related to accounting operations

Required Experience/Skills

  • Some experience related to accounting/finance systems (experience in requirements definition is a plus)
  • Experience in one of the following:
  • Experience in system planning or business planning at a company
  • Experience in PM/PMO roles supporting accounting/finance departments at a consulting firm

  • Ability to proactively tackle new knowledge and skills, learn and understand them, and explain them in your own words
  • Ability to understand the essence from unorganized information, communicate with internal and external stakeholders, and proactively drive projects
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel and prioritize them

Desirable Experience/Skills

  • English proficiency (level sufficient for email and internal chat communication)
  • Practical experience in data linkage related tasks
  • Practical experience in planning consumer-facing services or projects
  • Experience in cross-organizational project promotion
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations related to financial business

Working Hours

  • Super Flex System (no core time)
  • Principle: 9:00 AM - 5:45 PM (7 hours 45 minutes actual work + 1 hour break)

Leave (Statutory Leave and Company Benefits)

  • Annual paid leave (14 days in the first year, prorated according to the month of joining. Usable from the date of joining)

Salary

  • Annual salary system (includes some fixed overtime pay)
  • Determined according to company regulations based on experience, skills, performance, and contribution
  • Reviewed once a year
  • Special bonus (incentive) paid once a year based on company performance and individual contribution
  • Overtime work allowance, late-night work allowance available
  • *A portion of the salary can be received via PayPay account (supports digital salary payment).*
