PayPay, a fintech company that surpassed 70 million users in just about 7 years since its service launch in 2018, is currently composed of diverse members from over 50 countries. Although the number of employees already exceeds several thousand, the company is still in a growth phase and is "incomplete." In providing "PayPay," we collaborate with Paytm, India's largest payment service provider, and leverage their customer-centric technology to build and expand smartphone payments in Japan.
Our biggest rival is "cash." We are passionately committed as professionals to proactively tackle this difficult challenge, refine our products at an overwhelming speed that cannot be imitated by other companies, and rapidly promote the spread of cashless payments in Japan, as well as its use as a financial life platform. We are looking for colleagues who can independently identify issues, cooperate with others, and jointly promote the creation of new value.
The Financial Institution Relations Department is responsible for all operations related to PayPay charge, which is the foundation of PayPay's services. Specifically, its main mission is to optimize costs related to PayPay charge with financial institutions, gateways, and various group companies. In addition to analyzing, managing, and operating these costs, the department also strives to expand charge methods. It is a very challenging mission to manage one of the largest expense items within PayPay through the planning of new services and the realization of UI/UX, but you can experience dynamic business promotion.
We are recruiting new team members (leader candidates) to strengthen the team's capabilities and organizational strength for proactive fund source cost management. Until now, the primary objective has been to improve user convenience by expanding the number of financial institutions that can be used for PayPay charge (while, of course, being cost-conscious). However, as PayPay's usage scenarios increase, user needs are diversifying, and PayPay is entering a phase where it needs to evolve its cost management methods more broadly and deeply. Specifically, we believe it is necessary to realize a cycle of hypothesis formulation → data collection and analysis for verification → identification of high-resolution problems → service/product/project planning → negotiation with stakeholders → implementation. Therefore, we are recruiting for this position to find members who can manage these overall operations.
The scope of responsibility covers all operations related to cost management for PayPay's core service, charge.
Specifically, the following tasks:
You can fully utilize all-round skills (business knowledge, research, report creation, contract documentation, SQL, data analysis, presentation skills, etc.) and experience the dynamic work of PayPay with its sense of speed every day, allowing you to accumulate valuable business experience in a short period. PayPay's internal culture values speed, so hierarchical consensus-building, common in traditional large corporations, is almost unnecessary. You can work closely with the management team, including CXOs who are the actual decision-makers, and gain a real sense of driving the company and its services.
