About the Job
Introduction to the Financial Promotion Division
This department is responsible for the operation and promotion of the credit business, which is one of PayPay's three main pillars of financial business.
To expand our financial business, we are currently working primarily with PayPay Card to promote the expansion of PayPay Credit and PayPay Card businesses. Our mission is to provide users with unprecedented services by hybridizing smartphone payments and credit card payments, thereby achieving the No. 1 payment service in Japan.
- Organizational structure: The current Financial Promotion Division consists of about 35 members, ranging from their late 20s to late 40s.

Background of the Recruitment
We are looking for individuals to make PayPay Credit and PayPay Card the No. 1 services in Japan and maximize the financial business, one of PayPay's three pillars. To become No. 1 in Japan, we aim to provide users with the best UI/UX in terms of services and features, and to realize a hybrid service of credit cards and smartphone payments that is unprecedented by other companies. We are looking for individuals who can plan user-first businesses and services, and who can proactively promote the business to achieve the No. 1 position together.
Specific Job Responsibilities
This is a manager candidate position for strategic planning and business promotion in the financial business, which is a pillar alongside the payment business and O2O business. You will be responsible for expanding PayPay's revenue and business growth, as well as management, through the credit business (PayPay Credit) within the financial business, to make PayPay's financial business No. 1 in Japan.
- Formulation of strategies and business plans for the financial business, especially the credit business (PayPay Credit)
- Business promotion, growth, and project management based on strategies and business plans
- Numerical analysis and reporting
- Team management

Required Experience/Skills
- Experience in one of the following:
- Strategy planning/business development experience in a business company
- Problem-solving experience in a consulting firm
- Business promotion and project management experience
- Ability to drive PDCA data-driven, with speed and execution power
- Communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
- Organizational management experience of 10 or more people
Desirable Experience/Skills
- Strong interest in emerging technologies
- Experience launching new businesses
- Experience in business transformation or restructuring
- Negotiation experience with overseas partners/customers
- Market research experience
- Business English proficiency (TOEIC 800+)
- Knowledge of laws and regulations related to payment financial business
- In addition, experience that can be highlighted as a strength in at least one of the following:
- Data-driven thinking (ability to think analytically using quantitative and qualitative data for unstructured problems)
- Problem-solving ability (logical thinking to identify and delve into causes, and execution power to involve others for improvement)
- Communication skills (strong communication to engage with multiple business stakeholders, understand their interests and concerns, and align them with common goals for success)
- Cross-functional understanding (ability to understand across all company units, identifying areas for operational improvement, and planning/promoting new businesses with appropriate priorities)
- Project management skills (ability to not only formulate strategies but also lead cross-business teams and manage entire projects while controlling schedules and budgets)

Working Hours
- Super Flex System (no core time)
- Principle: 10:00 AM - 6:45 PM (7 hours 45 minutes actual work + 1 hour break)
Holidays
- Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, year-end and New Year holidays, and company-designated days
Leave (Statutory Leave and Company Benefits)
- Annual paid leave (14 days in the first year, prorated according to the month of joining. Usable from the date of joining)
- Personal leave (5 days each year / 3 or 5 days granted in the first year depending on the joining month)

Salary
- Annual salary system (including some fixed overtime pay)
- Determined according to our company regulations based on experience, skills, performance, and contribution

- Special bonus (incentive) paid once a year based on company performance and individual contribution
- Overtime allowance, late-night work allowance, remote work allowance (100,000 JPY per year) available
