Job Description
Apple is seeking an experienced ML team leader to provide vision and leadership for efforts in the machine understanding, enhancement, and generation of audio. This role requires guiding and coordinating efforts in developing ML models for speech and audio processing, utilizing audio data, and enhancing audio features across all Apple products. The successful candidate will ensure that Apple's audio teams are at the forefront of developing model types suitable for audio comprehension, leading and managing audio datasets for understanding, separation, and generation, including process development, acquisition, curation, augmentation, and support for internal teams.
Apple is looking for an Audio and Acoustics ML team leader to provide vision and leadership for efforts in the machine understanding, enhancement, and generation of audio. We are seeking an experienced subject-matter expert with leadership skills who can guide and coordinate our efforts in developing ML models for speech and audio processing, leveraging audio data and enhancing audio features across all Apple products. A successful candidate will ensure Apple’s audio teams remain at the forefront of developing model types suitable for audio comprehension. This will include leading and managing Apple's audio datasets for understanding, separation, and generation, encompassing process development, acquisition, curation, augmentation, and support for internal teams. Most of our engineers have advanced degrees in Computer Science, Electrical engineering, Acoustics, Signal Processing, Electronics or an equivalent field, but if youʼve followed a different path to expertise in acoustics or sound quality, we still want to hear from you. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
