Job Description

CAE is seeking experienced pilots, sensor operators, and mission intelligence coordinators for MQ-9B instructor roles at RAF Waddington, Lincolnshire, starting January 2026. Successful candidates will receive basic, advanced, and instructor training, including synthetic device and courseware familiarization. The role involves a 40-hour work week, with training days from 0800-1700.
Must have:
  • MQ-9 or similar type aircraft experience.
  • Fluent in English speaker language.
  • Ability to obtain NATO security clearance.

About the role

CAE are seeking expressions of interest from Medium Altitude Long Endurance experienced pilots, sensor operators and mission intelligence coordinators, to join our team as MQ-9B instructors.

The roles are due to commence in January 2026.

Basic, advanced and instructor training in addition to synthetic device and courseware familiarisation will be provided to successful candidates.

The average working week will be 40 hours with a training working day of 0800-1700.

Summary requirements

  • MQ-9 or similar type aircraft experience.
  • Fluent in English speaker language.
  • Ability to obtain NATO security clearance
