Must Have
- Own and deliver the multiomic commercial sales budget for Benelux
- Develop and implement a strategic four-year plan for the multiomics business
- Expand and nurture the network of service providers for new multiomics products
- Educate local commercial team on multiomics value propositions
- Partner with multiomics companies using Illumina NGS for read out
- Serve as a trusted advisor to customers, providing expert guidance
- Stay updated on emerging trends in multiomics to shape sales strategies
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop KOL and customer relationships
- Ensure internal alignment of sales efforts with company objectives and customer needs
- Identify and assess sales leads, cultivate new business prospects, and develop robust relationships
- Conduct comprehensive product presentations and consultative discussions
- Collaborate with Specialists, Territory Account Managers (TAMs), and District Sales Managers (DSMs)
- Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events
- Maintain accurate records on SFDC

The role
Multiomics (multiple omics) provides an integrated approach to power discovery across multiple levels of biology. By combining data from genomics, transcriptomics, epigenetics, and proteomics, researchers can achieve a more comprehensive understanding of molecular changes contributing to normal development, cellular response, and disease. Regardless of the method chosen, Illumina offers solutions powered by NGS to enable the next multiomics studies and analyses.

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Multiomics Sales Specialist, to join our innovative commercial team. You will have a strong background in multiomics technologies, such as genomics, transcriptomics, epigenetics, and/or proteomics.
As a Multiomics Sales Specialist you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by promoting our comprehensive suite of multiomics products and services to academic institutions, pharmaceutical companies, biotechnology firms, and healthcare within the North subregion.
We are preferably looking for a candidate who specializes in either spatial transcriptomics or single cell analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
- Own and deliver the multiomic commercial sales budget for Benelux.
- Develop and implement a strategic four-year plan tailored for the multiomics business, including new business sectors and Large National Genomic Initiatives (LNGI) opportunities.
- Expand and nurture the network of service providers dedicated to our newly launched multiomics products.
- Educate the local commercial team on the value propositions of multiomics, enhancing their understanding and expertise in the field.
- Partner with multiomics companies who use Illumina NGS for read out.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to customers, providing expert guidance to help them navigate the complexities of multiomics and achieve their scientific objectives.
- Stay updated on emerging trends in multiomics to shape effective sales strategies.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, product management, medical affairs and service & support to develop good KOL and customer relationships to meet budget commitments.
- Ensure internal alignment of sales efforts with company objectives and customer needs. Identify and assess sales leads, cultivate new business prospects, and develop robust relationships with key decision-makers within the multiomics community.

- Conduct comprehensive product presentations and consultative discussions to demonstrate the value proposition of our integrated multiomics.
- Collaborate with Specialists, Territory Account Managers (TAMs), and District Sales Managers (DSMs) to align and contribute to strategic territory plans effectively.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to enhance brand visibility, establish thought leadership, and engage with potential customers.
Scope of Responsibilities:

- Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
- Maintain accurate records on SFDC
Qualifications:
- Strong background in multiomics - genomics, transcriptomics, epigenetics and/or proteomics, preferably with a specialization on either spatial transcriptomics, or single cell analysis.
- Extensive account management, new business development and sales experience.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven mindset, with a passion for omics technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to identify customer needs, articulate value propositions, and drive sales engagements.
- Ability to work independently, to prioritize tasks, and to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in life sciences, bioinformatics, molecular biology, or a related field required; PhD is a plus.
- Willingness to travel within Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg (Benelux) as needed, 60% travel on average is required.
- Fluency in business English is required, preferably also Dutch or French speaking.
