On-Call Studio Store Assistant

Pixar Animation Studios is seeking an enthusiastic and dependable On-Call Studio Store Assistant for its Emeryville location. This part-time role involves providing exceptional customer service, managing inventory, restocking, maintaining store appearance, and assisting with Studio Department Orders. Candidates should possess a strong retail customer service background, experience with point-of-sale systems, and excellent communication and organizational skills. The position requires flexibility for weekday shifts and occasional evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service to guests visiting the Pixar Studio Store
• Perform essential duties including, but not limited to, receiving and restocking inventory, assisting in maintaining store appearance, and occasional shipment of products
• Assist in fulfilling Studio Department Orders; including accurately sorting and distributing products to appropriate departments within the Studio
• Flexible to perform a variety of duties to support the needs of the Studio Store

Qualifications:

• Must have a strong retail customer service background: positive, upbeat, warm, and personable demeanor
• Must be able to communicate clearly with managers and guests
• Demonstrated excellence in guest service skills: reliable, consistent and courteous
• Previous experience with point-of-sale systems
• High level of integrity
• Proven ability to take initiative and problem-solve independently
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• General ability to work weekdays from 10 am to 3 pm, and a flexible schedule in the Spring (February and May and occasional evenings, weekends, and short notice on weekdays)

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to maneuver around sales floor and frequently move merchandise throughout the studio

The hiring range for this position is $36,465.00 to $47,190.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
