The main responsibilities related to the part-time assistant manager position are as follows:

  • Help lead a dedicated team of employees.
  • Manage the guest experience; ensure that each guest visiting our cinema is satisfied and looks forward to returning.
  • Assist in managing the cinema budget and ensuring revenue growth.
  • Forecast, implement measures and projects to promote the business and strengthen Cineplex Entertainment's position as a leader in Canadian cinema operations.
  • Cineplex offers excellent growth opportunities; this position can often lead to higher roles in the cinema (e.g., full-time cinema manager, senior cinema manager, or general manager).

What skills do you need to be part of this team?

  • Demonstrate the communication (oral and written), organizational, management, and leadership skills necessary to lead a team in a cinema.
  • Possess excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Possess in-depth computer skills.
  • Be able to implement innovative and creative sales and food service activities.
  • Food handling accreditation considered an asset.
  • Be aware of health, safety, and environmental laws and regulations applicable to cinema operation.
  • Be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Be able to prioritize and manage multiple activities and oversee employee development while continuing to meet financial objectives and reporting requirements.
  • Previous management experience in a cinema, restaurant, fast food counter, or any other related environment is an asset, but not an essential criterion.
