The role involves drafting patent documents, prosecuting with JPO, responding to office actions, IP consulting, IP strategy for business units, IP contract, trade secret management, and global IP cooperation within the Bosch IP organization. You will utilize patent attorney qualifications and collaborate with international colleagues.

Must Have

  • Over 2 years experience in drafting specifications and agency procedures
  • Knowledge of mechanical or electrical engineering (especially electrical/telecommunication)
  • Interpersonal skills (communication, self-control, persuasiveness, negotiation)
  • English communication skills (TOEIC ~700)
  • Native level Japanese (reading, writing, conversation)

Good to Have

  • Japanese patent attorney qualification
  • Experience as patent engineer in corporate IP department

The role involves acting as an agent for patent applications to the Japan Patent Office by overseas group companies, allowing you to utilize your patent attorney qualifications.

Job Content

  • Drafting patent application specifications and handling application procedures
  • Responding to office actions (e.g., drafting amendments and opinions)
  • Formulating patent strategies and providing consulting services for assigned business units
  • Supporting IP contracts and trade secret management for assigned business units
  • Participating in worldwide IP cooperation activities within the Bosch Group

Qualifications

Required Skills

  • Over 2 years of experience in drafting specifications and handling agency procedures
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering (especially knowledge of electrical and telecommunication related technologies is desirable)
  • Interpersonal skills (communication, self-control, persuasiveness, negotiation skills)
  • English communication skills (TOEIC score around 700)
  • Native level Japanese (reading, writing, and conversation)

Preferred Skills

  • Qualification as a patent attorney
  • Experience as a patent engineer in a corporate IP department
