Job Description

The Vehicle Dynamics Tuning Engineer is crucial for vehicle dynamics development, providing program feedback from test results. This role involves driving and testing vehicles, and close collaboration with simulation engineers to meet program requirements. Expertise in proving grounds and subjective vehicle tuning is essential, along with a deep understanding of suspension and chassis architecture and their impact on ride and handling.
Good To Have:
  • Master of Science Engineering Degree from an ABET accredited university
  • Test Driving experience
  • Racing experience/background
  • Vehicle dynamics simulation experience
Must Have:
  • A minimum of a Bachelor of Science Engineering Degree from an ABET accredited university or equivalent
  • Experience in automotive engineering product development
  • Suspension architecture and development experience
  • Vehicle Ride and Handling Tuning or Development Experience
  • Proactive and Reactive problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Proficient use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience from cross functional interaction

Position Description:

The Vehicle Dynamics Tuning Engineer plays an integral part in the vehicle dynamics development by providing feedback to programs based on test results. Besides driving and testing vehicles, close communication with simulation engineers is important to help guide the program towards the requirements.

Experience from proving grounds and tuning vehicles based on subjective evaluation is required. Hence, deep understanding of suspension and chassis architecture and components, and their effect on ride and handling is important.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor of Science Engineering Degree from an ABET accredited university or equivalent
  • Experience in automotive engineering product development
  • Suspension architecture and development experience
  • Vehicle Ride and Handling Tuning or Development Experience
