Job Description

As the Planning and Control Manager, you will lead Planning & Control activities across the product lifecycle for the external supply chain, optimizing inventory and logistics costs for Rolls Royce while ensuring delivery performance. You will also be responsible for deploying and developing planning and control capabilities within your team, managing supplier performance, resolving gaps, and supporting mid-term delivery risks.
Must Have:
  • Lead a P&C team within the Design Make category to manage supplier performance (OTIF, Arrears, Inventory, Build/ EPKD Impact, ERP Compliance).
  • Ensure that the team closes supplier performance gaps and problem resolution.
  • Work with ME, Quality & PM/PI managers to ensure mid-term delivery risks are understood, prioritized and supported.
  • Enable the P&C team to lead successful Order Book Reviews, looking at long-term risk and actioning appropriately.
  • Provide input into the sourcing strategy and sourcing decisions, helping shape the 'blueprint' for the supply chain.
  • Manage the supply chain responses to support business impact evaluation (Risk, Inventory, Capacity and Financial).
  • Accountable for inventory budget and forecast within their commodities/supply chain value stream.
  • Constantly assess PDL functional & behavioural competency via training matrix and action as appropriate.
  • Ensure team members have Individual Development Plans with appropriate in role or growth development actions and improvement milestones.
  • Ensure teams manage relationships and communication with a portfolio of suppliers and internal customers.
  • Present delivery status/burndown to Senior stakeholders.
  • Associate degree and 7+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Supplier Management, or Procurement, OR Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years, OR Master’s degree and 3+ years, OR 9+ years in lieu of a degree.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident for US location.

Basic Requirements:

  • Associate degree and 7+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Supplier Management, or Procurement, OR
  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience in in Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Supplier Management, or Procurement, OR
  • Master’s degree and 3+ years of experience in in Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Supplier Management, or Procurement, OR
  • JD/PhD, OR
  • 9+ years of experience in in Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Supplier Management, or Procurement in lieu of a degree
  • In order to be considered for this position for location based in the US, you must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident
