Marsh Valuation Services are specialists in valuations of property, infrastructure, plant and equipment assets throughout the Pacific Region for financial reporting and insurance renewal purposes.
Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Plant and Equipment Valuer to join our team based in either Melbourne or Sydney. We are focused on attracting the right person for our business so where you are located is not critical - we have a valuation team in most Australian States.
The role will see you be an important member of the valuations team while undertaking valuations nationally for a range of purposes. The role would suit a valuer wanting the autonomy to carry out all facets of valuations including client management, inspections, calculations and reporting whilst also assisting in attracting new clients. This role would suit an organised, driven and growth focused individual looking to maximise their valuation capabilities and get exposure to a broad range of industries and clients.

We will count on you to: - Apply your knowledge to undertake valuations of varying types of assets for differing purposes
- Work across multiple large scale projects to meet deadlines while managing your time effectively
- Have the ability to travel intrastate, nationally and at times internationally for key client commitments
- Demonstrate key client relationship management
- Provide expert advice to clients in developing and adjusting project approaches, methodology, and tools to guide valuation programs and initiatives
- Show excellent time management, logistic and organisational skills
- Develop and execute strategies to expand successful business/working relationships with clients to grow the portfolio
- Work as part of a team in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
What you need to have:
- AAPI, ASA or RICS qualification
- 5+ years’ experience in performing plant and equipment valuations
- Valuations experience across multiple industries (e.g. manufacturing, power generation, oil& gas, food processing)
- Experience with insurance and/or financial reporting valuations looked upon favourably
- Growth mindset
- Proficient Excel skills
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Logical, methodical and analytical mindset
- Ability to work both individually and as part of a team
- Availability to travel nationally.
