Job Description
About Bizee
Bizee (formerly Incfile) has helped more than one million entrepreneurs start and manage their businesses. Now we’re building an end-to-end Entrepreneur Operating System, a unified platform that turns entrepreneurial ambition into momentum. We simplify complexity, anticipate needs, and give founders the freedom to build faster.
We move fast, stay close to the customer, and obsess about leverage. We build with heart, hustle, grit, and humility, the same qualities that define the entrepreneurs we serve.
The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Platform Engineer who will help modernize Bizee’s core platform into a modular, API-first, event-driven architecture that powers our next decade of scale.
You’ll build the systems, services, and internal APIs that enable AI workflows, partner integrations, workflow orchestration, automation, and high-velocity product development. You’ll work across platform engineering, data infrastructure, AI systems, and product squads to create the foundation that future teams build on top of.
If you’re energized by building core infrastructure, designing clean APIs, untangling legacy systems, and creating the rails for a high-scale platform, you’ll be at home here.
What You’ll Do
- Modernize Bizee’s core platform into a scalable, modular, service-oriented architecture.
- Build internal and external APIs that power product features, partner integrations, and AI workflows.
- Develop platform services that support authentication, authorization, event routing, workflow orchestration, and automation.
- Collaborate with the Platform Architect to design standards for services, APIs, events, versioning, and documentation.
- Implement event-driven patterns (pub/sub, event sourcing, idempotent processing) to enable real-time, reliable workflows.
- Support the Open API & Partner Platform by building API endpoints, SDK foundations, and integration hooks.
- Partner with Data & AI to ensure data pipelines, event streams, and feature stores integrate cleanly with platform services.
- Improve developer experience by contributing to CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, observability tooling, and service templates.
- Ensure reliability and performance across all platform services through strong observability, monitoring, and on-call practices.
- Refactor legacy systems into well-structured, maintainable components with clear boundaries and ownership.
What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years of experience in backend or platform engineering, preferably in SaaS, marketplaces, or platform companies.
- Deep experience building and consuming RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Strong command of event-driven architecture (Kafka, Kinesis, Pub/Sub, or equivalent).
- Experience with cloud-native development (AWS preferred), infrastructure-as-code, and container orchestration.
- Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, RBAC, and secure API design.
- Experience improving platform observability (logging, metrics, tracing).
- Ability to refactor legacy systems and ship incremental modernization.
- Experience supporting partner integrations or platform products is a plus.
- Curiosity around AI systems, workflow automation, LLM tools, and how services become “AI-callable.”
- A builder mindset: pragmatic, fast-moving, and focused on clarity, reliability, and long-term scalability.
Success Looks Like
Within months, Bizee’s core platform becomes faster, cleaner, and more modular. APIs are well-structured and well-documented. Platform services support AI workflows, event-driven automation, and partner integrations. Developer velocity improves as complexity decreases. Reliability, observability, and performance increase. Product squads can move faster because the foundation is strong. You become the engineer who helped create the spine of Bizee’s Entrepreneur Operating System.
