Platforms Marketing GTM Manager – Candy Crush Saga
About the Role
As the Platforms Manager for Candy Crush Saga, you will serve as the strategic and operational linchpin between King’s internal product and marketing teams and our external platform partners, such as Apple, Google, Amazon, and Microsoft. Your mission will be to maximise game visibility, drive incremental installs, and unlock strategic featuring opportunities across global app ecosystems.
You will manage everything from ongoing featuring opportunities and campaign execution to content uploads and localization, ensuring our iconic game is consistently showcased in the best possible light across all digital stores.
Key Responsibilities
1. Platform Partnerships & Featuring Strategy
- Act as the primary contact between King and platform partner teams (e.g. Apple App Store, Google Play, Amazon, Microsoft, Flexion and other partners as needed e.g. Yahoo)
- Develop a long term platform partnering operating model for Candy Crush Saga
- Lead and manage monthly syncs with 3PM and internal CCS teams to align on beats, content strategy and platform asks
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with platform stakeholders to influence editorial inclusion (e.g. Today Tab, curated collections)
- Coordinate and submit nominations for major beats and Seasonal events
- Work closely with IAP and CRM to curate tailored and seasonal promotional offers
- Work alongside Product Marketing to build an integrated promotional calendar
2. Campaign GTM & Beat Execution
- Lead the end-to-end execution of quarterly platform content beats across Google Play and App Store promo cards
- Create and submit featuring pitch decks and artwork and copy briefs to internal stakeholders and 3PM team
- Manage go-to-market decks and strategies for seasons and features that are focused on featuring
- Coordinate with copywriters and translators to ensure accurate, compelling content across all markets and languages
- Manage asset requests for key featuring slots, including high-quality game trailers, gameplay footage and brand assets
- Coordinate with platforms to drive additional amplification across editorial channels
- Planning and execution of liveop card content
3. Store Operations & Submissions
- Oversee and execute app store content uploads, including:
- Updating store metadata (art, copy, promo cards)
- Submitting localised assets via Play Console / App Store Connect.
- Troubleshooting
- Ensure timely delivery of assets for priority cultural and regional campaigns
4. Incremental Opportunities
- Evaluate and activate incremental featuring opportunities like Google Play Points, regional promotions, and partner-sponsored campaigns
- Coordinate cross-functional teams (IAP, Events, Creative, Legal) to deliver required campaign materials
- Explore and expand strategic integrations (e.g. Apple Music, YouTube campaigns, Google Hardware featuring)
- Develop value propositions for new tools and promotional placements
5. Performance & Reporting
- Liaise with the Marketing Analytics and Platforms teams to own performance insights such as incremental installs, revenue uplift, and ROI using King’s internal attribution models
- Maintain documentation of all beat executions, platform decisions, and featuring outcomes to inform future planning
- Provide insights on performance for major campaigns
Key Operational Tasks
- Own the day-to-day management of featuring tickets, timelines, and deadlines
- Submit and QA artwork and promo content cards
- Handle ad hoc platform partner requests with agility
- Ensure all assets are uploaded to platform stores correctly and on time
- Maintain a repository of evergreen artwork and localization templates to streamline future submissions
