How will you make a difference?
We are looking for a leader to take Wabtec Platform Portfolio to the next level – helping in the process to drive application team adoption across the Corporation. Partnering with the existing Enterprise Cloud & on Prem Solutions teams across the globe, you will be responsible for curating our Platform portfolio pipeline and through fusion teams developing a workload-centric approach to Application migration & modernization. You will be responsible through the Platform Leadership Team for helping drive the core platform strategy and improve Operational Stability & Availability, ensuring implementation of Cyber, Compliance, Financial and Architectural best practice.
What do we want to know about you?
You must have:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or STEM field
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in IT Infrastructure or Software Architecture, design and operations
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in on prem DC or Public cloud application deployments,
- 2+ years with Linux, Windows, VMware, and Storage
- 2+ years with Kubernetes, AWS, Azure
- 2+ years of Agile experience

- Strategic and creative thinking to analyze issues that may arise and create modern solutions as a result.
- Exposure to ServiceNow and how it can be used to manage Demands, Projects Agile, Dashboards, ITIL.

- Familiarity with On-Prem & Cloud Compute Technologies & Enterprise IT Architectures as it relates to Platform capabilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
What will your typical day look like?
As our Portfolio evangelist, you will work closely with the Platform Leadership Team to:
- Facilitate the Platform Leadership Team Operating Rhythm to:
- Maintain comprehensive Portfolio roadmaps aligned with IT/ITTS strategic objectives
- Align with IT Strategic Portfolio Management processes and standards to ensure Platform Portfolio is curated and managed maturely through ServiceNow
- Ensure strategic KPI’s are defined, measured and reported via ServiceNow
- Drive continuous evolution of our service offerings & automation practices, with the objective of enabling the re-factoring of traditional locally hosted applications to our Datacenters and Public Cloud.
- Provide the necessary complex project and Agile support to enable continuous delivery and enhancements to our Platform service offerings.
- Serve as Scrum Master for Platform’s Agile teams
As our Workload-Centric evangelist you will work closely with our Architecture & Adoption team to:
- Be the interface with the Enterprise & Commercial Application & Product teams to help align & accelerate application modernization roadmaps
- Partner with Enterprise Architecture to facilitate the development of the framework for workload evaluation, placement, automation and monitoring
- Create fusion teams to foster collaboration, help migrate, modernize & re-home applications – based on the framework developed
- May have responsibility for fusion teams in multiple geographies across EMEA, ASPAC and the US.
- Develop peer, cross-functional and cross-business relationships to maximize best practice sharing and team effectiveness
