Senior Power BI Developer / Data Analyst

Location: remote/hybrid in UK, Isle of Man, Poland, Malta or Spain.

Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience.

What you’ll be doing:

• Designing and building complex, interactive Power BI visualizations that turn raw data into actionable insights for various departments and stakeholders. 
• Writing complex DAX formulas to perform advanced calculations and data transformations. 
• Ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of the Power BI service, including data connections, security, performance monitoring, fine-tuning, and troubleshooting. 
• Overseeing the entire data flow process, from extraction from various sources to transformation and loading into Power BI. 
• Analyze and interpret data on competitors, market trends, game performance and player behavior, providing valuable insights for strategic decision-making. 
• Working closely with Commercial and Product teams to understand their data needs, provide data-driven insights, and support decision-making processes with effective BI solutions. 
• Collaborating with the executive team to understand their strategic goals and provide them with relevant reports and insights that align with those objectives. 
• Presenting clear and structured insights for internal teams, highlighting key metrics, trends and actionable suggestions. 
• Guiding junior analysts and developers, sharing best practices, and fostering a data-driven culture. 
• Keeping up with the latest Power BI features and BI industry trends to implement cutting-edge solutions.

What you’ll bring to the role:

• 5+ years of experience with Power BI and related Microsoft BI stack. 
• Familiarity with the different components of Power Platform (e.g. Power Automate). 
• Practical ability to use tools such as DAX Studio, Tabular Editor, ALM Toolkit. 
• Knowledge of SQL and experience working with databases. 
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, R). 
• Expert-level DAX and M query language skills. 
• Strong understanding of data modeling and star schema concepts. 
• Experience with large-scale data warehousing and ETL processes. 
• Experience in collaborating with stakeholders to identify and analyze requirements, provide and write documentation.
