Job Summary
As a Principal Engineer Security Architecture on our Research & Development team, you will research, design, and evaluate innovative hardware security mechanisms for cryptographic modules and develop secure system-level architectures for high-security embedded products. You will conduct threat analyses, attack modeling, and security evaluations, analyze side-channel resistance, and review RTL and firmware. Collaboration with stakeholders to define security requirements and support certification is also key. A Master's or PhD in a relevant field and strong understanding of cryptographic primitives and secure hardware architectures are essential.
Must Have
- Research, design, and evaluate innovative hardware security mechanisms for cryptographic modules
- Develop secure system-level architectures for CC-certified and high-security embedded products
- Conduct threat analyses, attack modelling, and comprehensive security evaluations at both hardware and system levels
- Analyze side-channel resistance, fault-attack robustness, and physical tamper-protection strategies to enhance security
- Review RTL, micro-architectures, and firmware components to ensure security robustness
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define product security requirements and contribute to security roadmaps
- Support certification preparation through evidence generation, documentation, security rationale development
- Monitor advancements in cryptography and emerging attack techniques
- Master’s or PhD in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Cryptography, or a related field
- Relevant work experience in the field of security research and development
- Strong understanding of cryptographic primitives and protocols (including PQC algorithms)
- Experience with secure hardware architectures and secure hardware IPs
- Knowledge of side-channel attacks, fault injection, tamper resistance hardware implementations, and hardware/software co-design
- Familiarity with security evaluation and Common Criteria or equivalent certification frameworks

- Develop secure system-level architectures for CC-certified and high-security embedded products
- Conduct threat analyses, attack modelling, and comprehensive security evaluations at both hardware and system levels
- Analyze side-channel resistance, fault-attack robustness, and physical tamper-protection strategies to enhance security
- Review RTL, micro-architectures, and firmware components to ensure security robustness
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define product security requirements and contribute to security roadmaps
- Support certification preparation through evidence generation, documentation, security rationale development, and monitoring advancements in cryptography and emerging attack techniques

- Master’s or PhD in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Cryptography, or a related field
- Relevant work experience in the field of security research and development
- Strong understanding of cryptographic primitives and protocols (including PQC algorithms)
- Experience with secure hardware architectures and secure hardware IPs
- Knowledge of side-channel attacks, fault injection, tamper resistance hardware implementations, and hardware/software co-design
- Familiarity with security evaluation and Common Criteria or equivalent certification frameworks
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and work effectively in interdisciplinary teams, coupled with curiosity, creativity, and a passion for breaking, and building secure systems, are essential qualities for success in challenging technical environments
