Job Summary

As a Senior Engineer Customer Support Application Engineering at Infineon, you will provide technical support to customers during their evaluation and development phases for Power or Sensor products. Your role involves creating easy-to-use collaterals, collaborating with internal teams to gather product requirements, and delivering product/application trainings. You will focus on innovative methods to empower customers, leveraging your expertise in hardware design, debugging, and various power topologies or magnetic sensors. A customer-oriented mindset and fluent English are essential for success.

Must Have

  • Provide technical support for Infineon Power or Sensor products
  • Create product easy-of-use collaterals (e.g., reference designs, application notes, code examples)
  • Work cross-functionally with Field Application Engineers, Technical Marketing and System Engineers
  • Collect product/application requirements by communicating with customers and internal teams
  • Prepare and deliver product/application trainings to peers and end customers
  • Focus on innovative, scalable methods to make customers self-sufficient
  • Master degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
  • 3+ years relevant experiences
  • Familiarity with hardware design and debugging including simulation, schematics, PCB layout, debug & build
  • Strong problem-solving skills from system level
  • Familiarity with topologies widely used in AC/DC, DC/DC and DC/AC (e.g., bridge/bridgeless PFC, LLC, DAB, Buck, Boost, Buck Boost, Full Bridge)
  • Experience in automotive/industrial magnetic sensors
  • Experience in ANSYS simulation tool, especially FEM solvers
  • Customer-orientated mindset, great interest in interacting with various customers
  • Ability to identify and resolve customers’ technical issues
  • Fluent English skills

Your Role

Key responsibilities in your new role

  • Provide technical support during customers’ evaluation and development phase, for Infineon Power or Sensor products
  • Create product easy-of-use collaterals (e.g. ref. design, knowledge articles, application notes, code examples…)
  • Work cross-functionally with Field Application Engineers, Technical Marketing and System Engineers in supporting customers and collect product/application requirements in related areas by communicating with customers and internal teams
  • Prepare and deliver product/application trainings to peers and end customers
  • Focus on innovative, scalable methods to make customers self-sufficient

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

As a Senior Engineer Customer Support Application Engineering, you anticipate even the future needs of customers and engage actively with the customer about these needs. Furthermore, you cooperate across boundaries and appreciate the contributions of other people. Lastly, you work conscientiously on making things better, faster, and more efficient.

  • Master degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, 3+ years relevant experiences
  • Be familiar with hardware design and debugging including simulation, schematics, PCB layout, debug & build, strong problem-solving skills from system level
  • Be familiar with topologies widely used in AC/DC, DC/DC and DC/AC, i.e. bridge/bridgeless PFC, LLC, DAB, Buck, Boost, Buck Boost, Full Bridge and so on (power related)
  • Experience in automotive/industrial magnetic sensors, experience in ANSYS simulation tool, especially FEM (Finite Element Method) solvers (Sensor related)
  • Customer-orientated mindset, great interest in interacting with various customers, ability to identify and resolve customers’ technical issues
  • Fluent English skills, Chinese or German skills would be an advantage
