Description
This is the first hire of its kind at Vi: a hands-on technical leader who will sit between engineering, product, and customer operations, owning the end-to-end deployment of AI agents within client environments. You’ll be embedded with enterprise customers to identify, design, and implement the first use cases that prove ROI, while continuously uncovering new automation opportunities to expand value creation.
You’ll shape what “AI deployment” means at Vi, building the playbook for future hires as this function scales globally.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer-Embedded Deployment
- Serve as the primary technical partner to 2–5 strategic enterprise customers, translating business objectives into operational AI use cases.
- Lead deployment of Vi’s intelligent agent platform across initial customer workflows (e.g., patient communications, market research, clinical operations).
- Integrate Vi’s AI systems with customer data and tech environments; collaborate with internal product and engineering teams to tailor solutions.
Technical Execution & System Integration
- Understand and lightly contribute to code where needed (Javascript, Python, APIs, data integration pipelines).
- Ensure technical feasibility, scalability, and security of deployments in healthcare environments.
- Partner with the Operate and Product teams to evolve the shared agentic capabilities of Vi’s platform.
Commercial Expansion
- Identify additional high-ROI opportunities post-deployment, leading expansion and upsell efforts in collaboration with Account Management and Growth teams.
- Quantify business impact and create case studies to demonstrate measurable value and drive renewals and expansions.
- Act as a trusted advisor to customer technical and business leaders.
Leadership & Scale
- Define the AI Deployment function’s charter, metrics, and best practices.
- Hire and mentor a small, high-impact team of AI Deployment Engineers as the model scales.
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Operations to ensure frictionless delivery and rapid iteration.
Must-Have Experience/Traits:
- 7+ years of experience in a technical, customer-facing role (e.g., solutions engineering, AI/ML deployment, data platform integration, or forward-deployed engineering).
- Strong understanding of AI/ML systems, APIs, data architecture, and healthcare enterprise environments.
- Hands-on familiarity with coding or scripting (Javascript, Python, SQL, or similar) and modern cloud/data stack integrations.
- Familiarity with the top three cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Exceptional ability to translate technical concepts into business outcomes — both in customer conversations and in executive settings.
- Experience identifying and driving commercial growth within existing accounts.
- Comfort operating in ambiguous, high-growth startup environments and building 0→1 functions.
- Bonus: Experience at companies like Palantir, Databricks, Scale AI, or in healthcare technology/enterprise data environments.
