Autodesk’s Security Incident Response department is expanding its senior team in the United States, participating in a global security organization. Must have:

  • Develop and maintain technical playbooks, enhance detection capabilities, and contribute to incident response strategy.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior analysts.
  • Operate seamlessly within a cloud agnostic framework (Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in incident response or security operations.
  • Exceptional proficiency with Splunk, capable of writing and optimizing multi-source queries.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently conduct sophisticated threat analyses and forensic investigations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience or familiarity with managing security operations in cloud environments.

Autodesk’s Security Incident Response department is growing, building a senior team of security analysts in the United States. They participate in a broader security organization, geographically load balanced across the US, EMEA, and India, and lead security investigations across our expansive global footprint.

As a Senior Security Analyst, you will be responsible for conducting deep technical investigations and advanced threat analysis. In this critical role, you will utilize your exceptional Splunk skills to integrate and analyze data from multiple platforms to identify and remediate security incidents. Drawing on extensive field experience, you will build data pipelines from services in the cloud and on prem to our Splunk instance. You will also contribute to proactive threat hunting, develop effective incident response strategies, and mentor less experienced team members.

Responsibilities

  • Advanced Incident Analysis: Conduct detailed investigations on high-complexity incidents, correlating data across diverse sources using Splunk to pinpoint IOCs and determine root causes
  • Collaboration: Work directly with the Incident Response Manager and cross-functional teams to coordinate incident mitigation efforts and continuously refine response protocols
  • Process Improvement: Develop and maintain technical playbooks, enhance detection capabilities, and contribute to the evolution of Autodesk’s incident response strategy
  • Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior analysts, fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement
  • Cloud Environment: Operate seamlessly within a cloud agnostic framework, with exposure to Azure, AWS, and GCP infrastructures

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in incident response or security operations, with a strong background in complex security investigations
  • Technical Skills: Exceptional proficiency with Splunk; capable of writing and optimizing multi-source queries, and incident dashboards to detect or display advanced threats
  • Field Experience: Demonstrated ability to independently conduct sophisticated threat analyses and forensic investigations
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; proven ability to mentor peers
  • Cloud Agnostic: Experience or familiarity with managing security operations in cloud environments including Azure, AWS, and GCP

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $142,200 and $229,900. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
