Job Description

The Wafer Fab Technician/Operator will work in a class 100 semiconductor facility, performing various operations including wafer cleaning, coating, alignment, deposition, etching, baking, annealing, and visual inspections. Responsibilities also include tool calibrations, daily equipment maintenance, and data entry. The role requires handling wafers and chemicals, and candidates must have a minimum of 6 years of directly related experience, an AS in Electronics, and be computer literate with physical capabilities for standing, walking, and handling materials.
Must have:
  • Perform multiple operations in class 100 semiconductor facility
  • Clean and coat wafers
  • Align wafers using mask aligners
  • Perform metal/dielectric deposition and etching
  • Conduct baking and annealing
  • Perform visual inspections
  • Execute tool calibrations
  • Perform daily equipment maintenance/up-keep
  • Perform data entry
  • Handle wafers using vacuum wand and/or tweezers
  • Handle wafer cassettes
  • Handle chemicals (solvents, acids, bases)
Good to have:
  • Ability to stand/walk for an extended period of time
  • Ability to handle bottles weighing up to 20lbs
  • Keen hearing
  • Good eye sight

Description

Wafer Fab Technician/Operator will work in the class 100 semiconductor facility and will perform multiple operations including: cleaning and coating wafers; aligning wafers using mask aligners, metal/dielectric deposition and etching, baking and annealing, visual inspections, tool calibrations; daily equipment maintenance/up-keep, and data entry. Some of the operations are manual and require handling of wafers using vacuum wand and/or tweezers, wafer cassettes, and chemicals (solvents, acids, bases).

Experience:

Candidate should have minimum 6 years of directly related experience.

Candidate must be able to stand/walk for an extended period of time, easily handle bottles weighing up to 20lbs, possess keen hearing and good eye sight, must be computer literate, especially familiar with Microsoft Office package.

REQUIREMENTS

AS in Electronics or equivalent.
