Job Summary
Infineon is seeking a Product Definition Engineer for Multiphase Controllers in Andover. This role involves automating the validation process for multiphase synchronous buck controllers and power components, creating and improving test hardware, and standardizing automation software and data analysis. Candidates need a Master's or Bachelor's in electrical engineering with 5+ years in power electronics validation, strong lab debug skills, and experience with Python or LabVIEW.
Must Have
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
- 5+ years of experience in validation engineering for power electronics
- Experience in multiphase synchronous buck applications, PMICs, and power stage products
- Strong lab debug skills using bench equipment (oscilloscopes, generators, analyzers, supplies, loads)
- Proficiency in automation software like Python or LabVIEW
Good to Have
- Experience in communication protocols such as I2C, PMBus, SVID/SVI3/AVSBus

Job Description
Your Role
Key responsibilities in your new role:
- Work with test equipment and software to automate the validation process of multiphase synchronous buck controllers and associated power components
- Create test hardware that assists the validation process per product validation plans
- Drive improvements to existing test hardware and validation plans
- Work to standardize automation software, hardware, data analysis, and report generation
Your Profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed:
- Candidate should have Masters or Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
- Should have 5+ years of experience in validation engineering for power electronics that include specific
- Experience in multiphase synchronous buck applications, PMICs, and power stage products.
- Strong lab debug skills using bench equipment including high-speed oscilloscopes, arbitrary waveform generators, vector network analyzers, high current supplies, electronic loads.
- Relevant automation software such as Python, or LabVIEW.
- Experience in communication protocols such as I2C, PMBus, and SVID/SVI3/AVSBus a plus.
