Job Description

As a Product Engineer on the Web Analytics team, you will build and own products that transform raw data into actionable decisions. This involves engaging with users, understanding their needs, and shipping features that answer critical questions. You will test MVPs in production, iterate on feedback, and own pricing. The role is full-stack, encompassing frontend design, HogQL queries, and potentially high-scale services in Rust and infrastructure. You will also participate in support to identify real pain points and drive feature development.

What you'll be doing

As a Product Engineer on the Web Analytics team, you’ll build and own products

that turn raw data into real decisions, not only dashboards. This means talking to users who live in analytics, understanding what actually moves the needle, and shipping features that answer questions, not just track metrics.

You’ll be in the rare position to test MVPs in production with real users, iterate on their feedback, and own the pricing, because if you don’t believe in it, why should anyone else? And yes, you’ll jump into support as a Support Hero

, because the best features come from real pain points.

Product engineers at PostHog

are truly full stack. You’ll design and ship the frontend (we have no design by default

), write HogQL queries, and, depending on the team, write high scale/high availability services in Rust and spin up infra.
