Job Description

As a Product Industrialization Engineer, you will focus on releasing new products into manufacturing and developing new manufacturing processes. Your responsibilities include identifying automated solutions, leading equipment installation, resolving manufacturing issues, optimizing designs for manufacturability, developing new processes, transferring designs from R&D, and conducting verification activities. You will also implement cost reduction solutions using lean manufacturing techniques. This role requires expertise in applying engineering principles and requires someone who can successfully perform the physical, cognitive, and environmental job requirements, with or without accommodation.
Must have:
  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience applying engineering principles.
  • Experience with statistical methods, tolerancing methods and analysis.
  • Experience creating mechanical designs using Solid Works.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Good to have:
  • Certifications like Green Belt, Black Belt, or Shainin.
  • Experience in a regulated environment, medical devices and lean manufacturing.

Job Description

Product Industrialization Engineer:
As a Product Industrialization Engineer you will focus primarily on releasing new products into manufacturing. In addition, you will play a key role in developing new manufacturing processes and implementing process controls. 

Your role:

  • Identify and develop automated manufacturing solutions to reduce cost and reduce process variation.

  • Lead the installation and validation of new manufacturing equipment. 

  • Resolve manufacturing and quality problems, including yield and nonconforming product. 

  • Work with the R&D team to optimize new designs for manufacturability.    

  • Lead the development of new processes that are highly capable and predictable.

  • Transfer new transducer designs from R&D into manufacturing.

  • Develop and execute design and process verification activities, including statistical analysis and testing.

  • Identify, analyze, and implement cost reduction solutions using lean manufacturing techniques to improve product cost structure.


You're the right fit if

  • You have 5+ years of experience applying engineering principles in a manufacturing environment.

  • Your skills include Statistical Methods (Process Capability, SPC, Trend Analysis). Strong understanding of tolerancing methods and analysis

  • You have experience creating mechanical designs using Solid Works 

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Certifications like Green Belt, Black Belt, or Shainin are a plus.

  • Experience in a regulated environment, medical devices and lean manufacturing.

  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.


How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

This is an onsite role.

Philips Transparency Details

The pay range for this position in Reedsville, PA is $ 93,750 to $125,000.

The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.   

In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.  Employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive Philips Total Rewards benefits program, which includes a generous PTO, 401k (up to 7% match), HSA (with company contribution), stock purchase plan, education reimbursement and much more.  Details about our benefits can be found here

At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case. 

Additional Information

US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa, now or in the future.

Company relocation benefits will not be provided for this position.  For this position, you must reside in or within commuting distance to Reedsville, PA.
