Job Description

The Clinical Data Steward will pioneer the development and release of cutting-edge algorithms for investigational devices and products used in Structural Heart Disease interventions, directly impacting patient care. Responsibilities include facilitating a continuous input stream of clinical data for SHD solutions, defining data collection and strategy, setting up and managing a data pipeline compliant with data and AI standards, and developing a thorough understanding of SHD products. Additional tasks involve performing data analytics, implementing quality control measures for regulatory submissions, and supporting data acquisition and related curation activities. The role requires frequent interaction with stakeholders and may involve travel.
Must have:
  • MSc in Medical Informatics, data science, or Biomedical Engineering.
  • Proven track record in data management for AI solutions, medical imaging domain.
  • Knowledge of emerging data and AI standards and privacy laws.
  • Experience with processing medical image data (DICOM or similar).
  • Proven proficiency with Python.
  • Good communication skills with various professional backgrounds.

Clinical Data Steward – SHD Venture 

Pioneer the development and release of cutting-edge algorithms for investigational devices and products used in Structural Heart Disease interventions, directly impacting patient care.

Your role:

  • Facilitating and securing a continuous input stream of clinical data in support of prototyping and developing SHD solutions
  • Defining the data collection & strategy to enable future product development and submissions, together with the stakeholders
  • Setting-up and managing a data pipeline compliant with existing and emerging data and A.I. standards 
  • Developing a thorough understanding of the SHD products and their clinical use via frequent interaction with stakeholders.
  • Perform data analytics and implement quality control measures to support regulatory submissions
  • Perform annotation tool - and protocol development
  • Supporting data acquisition and related curation & annotation activities, including training hospital staff and third-party annotation companies in annotation tool & protocol (may include travel)


You're the right fit if:

  • You have obtained a MSc in Medical Informatics, data science or Biomedical Engineering;
  • Proven track record in data management for A.I. solutions, preferably in the medical imaging domain  
  • Knowledge of emerging data and A.I. standards and privacy laws
  • Experience with processing medical image data (DICOM or similar);
  • Proven proficiency with Python
  • You have good communication skills, are comfortable with engaging with people with various professional backgrounds
  • Work in an Agile and LEAN manner while maintaining compliance to development processes and product quality standards.
