Philips is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to support quality assurance processes within its internal and external supply chain operations, encompassing warehousing, distribution, and manufacturing. This role focuses on ensuring compliance, driving continuous improvement, and upholding quality standards globally. The engineer will oversee supply chain quality functions, manage nonconforming materials, product acceptance, and quality system compliance. Responsibilities include partnering with internal teams and external vendors on quality initiatives, providing expertise in process development and validation, leading process changes, managing nonconformance procedures like CAPAs and SCARs, and collaborating with Supplier Quality teams to assess vendor compliance.
Must have:
  • 5+ years of experience in quality assurance within manufacturing, supply chain, or distribution.
  • Proficiency in quality system and regulatory knowledge (QMS).
  • Experience with risk and change management.
  • Skills in process validation and root cause analysis.
  • Project management capabilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Detail-oriented, solution-driven, and collaborative.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally.

Job Description

Quality Assurance Engineer – Supply Chain (Mount Pleasant, PA)

Make a meaningful impact by supporting quality assurance processes across Philips’ internal and external supply chain operations, including warehousing, distribution, and manufacturing activities. This role ensures compliance, drives continuous improvement, and champions quality standards across the global supply chain.

Your role:

  • Oversee and support supply chain quality functions, including nonconforming material management, product acceptance, and quality system compliance across warehousing, distribution, and merge center operations.

  • Partner with key internal teams and external vendors to support quality initiatives related to manufacturing, late-stage configuration, and service materials.

  • Provide expertise in process development, validation, and quality controls while maintaining full documentation throughout the product lifecycle.

  • Lead or influence process changes, productivity programs, and manage nonconformance procedures such as CAPAs (Corrective and Preventive Actions), SCARs (Supplier Corrective Action Requests), and audit responses.

  • Collaborate with Supplier Quality teams to assess vendors and ensure compliance for purchased components, services, and finished products.

  • Your skills include quality system and regulatory knowledge (QMS), risk and change management, process validation, root cause analysis, and project management.

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.

  • You’re detail-oriented, solution-driven, and thrive in collaborative environments with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

  • You're comfortable working cross-functionally and committed to delivering results that improve health technologies worldwide.

How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

Philips Transparency Details

The pay range for this position in (PA) is $97,440 to $155,904

The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.    

In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.  Employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive Philips Total Rewards benefits program, which includes a generous PTO, 401k (up to 7% match), HSA (with company contribution), stock purchase plan, education reimbursement and much more.  Details about our benefits can be found here

At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case. 

Additional Information

US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa, now or in the future.

Company relocation benefits will not be provided for this position.  For this position, you must reside in or within commuting distance to Mount Pleasant, PA.
