Job Description

As a Product Manager at Amex GBT, you will define and maintain the product roadmap, aligning with company strategy. You will identify customer needs, define product requirements, and manage the product backlog. This role involves close collaboration with design and development teams, developing launch plans, and monitoring performance metrics. You will also analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, and partner with various stakeholders to ensure successful product development and adoption within the travel technology domain.

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years travel technology product management experience
  • Demonstrated experience in product lifecycle management
  • Demonstrated experience in project management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Data-driven and customer-oriented mindset
  • Passion for building innovative and user-centric products
  • Collaborative and agile approach
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

What You’ll Do

  • Define and maintain a product roadmap that aligns with the product space and the company's overall strategy
  • Identify and prioritize customer needs through market research and user feedback
  • Define product requirements, features, and functionality
  • Manage and prioritize product backlog based on business value and ROI
  • Work closely with designers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful product development
  • Develop and implement product launch plans and go-to-market strategies
  • Define and supervise performance metrics for products and monitor customer feedback to inform product improvements and updates
  • Work with account management and marketing teams to ensure successful product adoption and growth
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the competitive and client landscape, market trends and emerging technologies
  • Partner with business unit customers, IT technology and support staff, Security & Risk management, external clients and vendors to define and maintain the overall product portfolio
  • Create and maintain comprehensive product and process documentation

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related experience will be considered
  • MBA a plus
  • 5 years+ travel technology product management delivering global product offerings
  • Demonstrated experience in product lifecycle management and project management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • A data-driven and customer-oriented mindset that guides your decision making and problem solving.
  • A passion for building innovative and user-centric products.
  • A collaborative and agile approach that enables you to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills that allow you to influence and persuade others.
  • Excellent communication with the ability to work with international & distributed teams
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ambitious environment
  • Familiarity with technical architecture of scalable systems
  • Familiarity with travel management systems - travel e-commerce, OLTA, OBT, and non GDS API’s
