Join our Publishing team as a Product Manager and play a critical role in shaping and delivering the product roadmap for our Metro mobile apps. You'll collaborate with UX, design, engineering, and business teams to ensure prioritised initiatives meet key business and consumer objectives.
Our team drives product design and management for leading audience-facing brands like The Age, The Sydney Morning Herald, Australian Financial Review, Good Food, nine.com.au, and 9news.com.au. Every month we connect over 10 million Australians with the content that matters most to them, reaching them across our diverse digital ecosystem of mobile apps, web experiences, inboxes, and third-party platforms.

What you’ll do:
Manage the product development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, user story creation, feature prioritisation, and release planning.
Monitor and analyse product performance, identify areas for improvement, and iterate on the product based on data and user feedback.
Work with a squad of software engineers to drive the development cycle, ensuring features and initiatives are delivered efficiently and to a high standard.
Collaborate with the Lead Product Manager to develop and execute product plans that align with business objectives and user needs.
Communicate product plans, progress, and results to stakeholders, building strong cross-functional relationships.
Conduct market research, benchmarking, and competitor analysis to inform strategic recommendations.
Analyse user feedback and audience data to identify opportunities for product improvements.
Stay up to date with the latest digital trends to identify new opportunities and drive innovation
What You'll bring:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field.
2- 5 years of product development experience in mobile app channels.
Demonstrated experience working with engineering, design, and delivery teams in an agile environment.
Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to inform product decisions.
Demonstrated understanding of the agile methodology, product best practices, and the critical steps of product development from discovery to delivery.
The ability to synthesise customer feedback into valuable product insights and actionable next steps.
Understanding of UX and UI best practices.
