Job Description

The Product Manager (UX) will lead the entire product lifecycle for Qoo10.jp services, from planning to launch and operation. This role involves enhancing existing services and launching new ones through data-driven decision-making to provide improved customer experiences. The manager will specifically lead K-Culture projects (K-beauty, K-pop) favored by Japanese Gen-Z customers, collaborating with relevant teams (sales, marketing) to coordinate complex requirements and successfully integrate them into the platform to create new shopping experiences. Additionally, the role includes providing guidance and solutions as a Tech advisor to junior team members.
Must have:
  • At least 7 years of experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner in e-commerce or similar IT platforms.
  • Experience leading the entire product lifecycle from requirements definition to launch, end-to-end.
  • Proven problem-solving skills based on data analysis.
  • Experience mentoring and proposing solutions with strong technical understanding.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration.
Good to have:
  • Experience in planning e-commerce services in Japan.
  • Rich experience in data analysis using tools like Google Analytics (GA) and A/B testing.
  • Experience in product optimization based on AI/Machine Learning.

Qoo10.jp has been selected as the most beloved shopping app by trend-sensitive Gen-Z customers in Japan, primarily focusing on beauty and fashion categories. It also supports the global e-commerce business expansion and success of eBay.com, a global online open market.

What a Product Manager (UX) does

The Product Manager (UX) leads the entire product process for Qoo10.jp services, from planning to launch and operation. They enhance existing services and launch new ones through data-driven decision-making to provide an improved customer experience. In particular, they lead projects related to K-Culture (K-beauty, K-pop, etc.), which are most preferred by Japanese Gen-Z customers, and collaborate with relevant teams (sales, marketing, etc.) to coordinate complex requirements and successfully integrate them into the platform to create new shopping experiences. They also provide direction and solutions as a Tech advisor to junior team members.

We are looking for someone who has

  • At least 7 years of work experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner in an e-commerce platform or similar IT platform.
  • Experience leading the entire process from requirements definition to launch of the responsible product, end-to-end.
  • Experience performing tasks with data analysis-based problem-solving skills.
  • Experience mentoring within the team and proposing solutions based on rich technical understanding.
  • Ability to collaborate based on smooth communication skills.

It would be even better if you have

  • Experience in planning e-commerce services in Japan.
  • Rich experience in data analysis using tools like Google Analytics (GA) and A/B testing.
  • Experience in product optimization based on AI/Machine Learning.

  • The portfolio should primarily focus on explaining previous projects, detailing how goals were set and achieved, from requirements definition to service planning and outcome derivation.
  • There is no specific format or length limit. This document is to help us better understand your previous experience, so please describe the projects you have worked on in detail.
