Product Owner

Onward Search is a specialized staffing and talent solutions company that helps professionals find top jobs with the nation’s leading brands. We’re hiring a Product Owner for a remote opportunity based out of Hartford, Connecticut. This is a 6- to 12-month contract opportunity.

Our client, a Fortune 5 healthcare company, is seeking a Product Owner to support BI and data-driven initiatives across its PBM organization. This role will focus on managing backlogs, gathering business requirements, and ensuring BI solutions deliver measurable value. The Product Owner will act as a bridge between business and technical teams, driving alignment and execution.

There is no application deadline for this role.

Product Owner Responsibilities:

• Own the product backlog for PBM BI initiatives, ensuring priorities are aligned with business strategy.
• Translate business needs into user stories and requirements for BI and data teams.
• Partner with engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver high-impact solutions.
• Facilitate workshops, sprint planning, and reviews to ensure shared understanding and accountability.

Product Owner Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of BI tools and data platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SQL).
• Familiarity with PBM, healthcare, or large-scale enterprise environments.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment.

*To qualify for our benefits package, you must work over 30 hours per week and the length of assignment must be a minimum of 10 weeks.
